Why would she do this, why would she do. THIS?!?!? out of all the places to investigate strange noises, her manor should NOT be, in any universe, a place she would have to do such an activity in!
Yet, here she was, scrounging around in the forest behind her manor, head on a swivel and a constant undercurrent of mana swirling around her!
Crack!
"Hiiieeee!" Her eyes widen and her breathing stops! Turning her head, she sees it. Two crimson red eyes staring at her....
"HIIIYAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! KYAAAAAA!!!!!!!" Mana bursts from her body as she raises her arms skyward!
"E- E--- X--- EXCALIBUR!!!!!!!!"
A sword materializes in her right hand as she brings her arms down.... eradicating whatever it was and bathing the forest in light! "Haah.... haah..." she pants and clutches her left breast.
Crack.
She stiffens again... did it move...?!
(Ashe to Berserker bu~)
She really wasn't cut out for this sort of work anymore. Though the very prideful servant would never go so far as to say she'd lost her ability for either combat or forceful diplomacy, even Nobunaga had to admit it had been quite the rough awakening to go from giving rock concerts to being called into action. It was supposed to be something quick: she'd just been intending to spook this local teen who had been a bit too interested in the dark arts lately; convincing them in her own tough-love approach that it was a path he didn't want to be headed down.
Perhaps due to the element of surprise, or just her own general lack of attention, he'd managed to get the slip on her and into these woods before she could accomplish any of that. How annoying....
She'd been trying to think of the best approach to the situation she found herself in, not particularly putting any emphasis on either stealth or what kind of attention a girl with a giant guitar in the middle of the woods might bring. The branches cracking underneath her feet didn't even reach her ears, as she had been much more focused in cussing herself out underneath her breath.
Her reaction is a second or two delayed after the feminine ( and therefore not belonging to her target ) screech she hears, momentarily more interested on where the noise had come from then why. It doesn't dawn on her right away that she is the source of all this panic.
As slow as she is to realize what's happening, she's at least fast enough to react to the very real threat of a spell(?) weapon(?) being materialized in her direction.
"Wait, wait, wait -! Stop !"
She briefly puts her free hand in front of her, before diving over to the right when she sees the blinding light quickly forming to be shot in her direction. It's not the most graceful of landings, but she manages to somehow avoid being burnt to a crisp like the rest of these innocent trees.
Somewhere, a teenage boy also screams in horror. At least her job's bee done for her.
"What are you psychotic?! Atoria's great, great granddaughter or something?! Why are my problems still going back her ten thousand variations?! I'm sick of going back to Camelot! Arthurian lore is overrated and overused! If I'm going to die for doing absolutely nothing , then at least make my death original!"
