in love with the undercurrent of sinister energy the boatem village has right now. it's like how the boatem pole, started as a funny episode 1 antic between friends, now has a hole beneath it down to the void. likewise there's grian telling scar that he's doing 'science' as he drops dripstone on his head. there's impulse sacrificing timmy the moment he and pearl got what they wanted from him. there's mumbo getting around his 'no killing' rule by encouraging mobs to burn in fires. there's pearl having no qualms about killing bdubs for his clock. there's scar laughing as he plays with grian's prized egg. they're friends on the surface, rivals underneath. welcoming on the outside, but not a bit hesitant to make use of the hole in the center of their village. they're cooly murderous behind their cheery facade. i love them.
