9x22 Deleted Scene
allroundlostcause:
Alaric blinks in confusion, first at the boxes, and then at the taffy â Faith would love that, but itâs not what Alaric is here for.
âJimmy, no, I⊠thatâs really kind of you,â he starts, feeling obscenely tall, and broad, and healthy, compared to far too many of the people in the city. âBut I didnât mean for use. I meant for the kids. Just doesnât seem like Christmas without something sweet for them. I mean, Faith and I, weâll be at mass, I promise.â And hopefully, Alaric wonât be struck by lightning; surely if there really is a god he takes good deeds as payment in place of regular prayer and going to church on Sundays? Itâs not as if Alaric doesnât believe, heâs just tired, and heâs not sure.
âWe canât take that when thereâs families with kids goinâ hungry in the city. Faith will talk the diner down the street into some leftovers, and weâll have a feast with you. Really.â
A whole turkey, though. He wants it. Seems like the kind of thing heâd rather Faith decided.
âMaybe I could just take one?â
Listening to Alaric and his million reasons why they can't take the gift tugs a smile across Jim's tired face. His hand goes up, "There's more than enough right now," he counters, "It's a blessed flood of good will and nobody deserves a little something extra more than you."
At least Faith is good sensed enough to take some of what he offers but she was on her own for longer. He knows charity is still new for her watcher. Ric is stubborn and Jim hopes it isn't pride, no one can feed their families on what they make now. He doesn't want to make it worse but he doesn't want to see Faith shrink another size, either, "I must insist. This is my insistent face."
He pushes his puny box further into the truck to be taken by one of the teenaged boys in it's trailer, helping to load, "If it makes you feel any better, your portion is half of what was afforded almost everyone else. There are oranges and some butter mints, I know Faith likes them." he doesn't mention a little wooden box of strawberries that only went to the Saltzman house as he doesn't fancy a riot, âItâs only once a year, Ric. Take it. And a Merry Christmas to you both.â
@pornxguyâ
#okay anyone who has ever seen Dean naked #MY #Dean anyway #yeah this is what it looks like #heâs not a smooth man
who cares where happiness comes from? weâre all a little weird, weâre all a little wacky - some more than others - but if it works, it works. you got something here. donât let that go. youâll never forgive yourself.
When your girl pissing you off, just remember what that ass look like in lingerie and stay strong homie.

Alaric doesnât mind the work; no, he likes it. It makes for a nice break from munitions manufacture and violence. Actually, he supposes munitions is actually still violence, one step removed. But if his gammy leg kept him out of the war, itâs not gonna keep him from doing this.
Praise, though. It makes him uncomfortable. Heâs far from a saint. If Jimmy knew how far he might not be so kind.
âHey, youâve helped us out moreân enough,â he answers, hoping the blush doesnât actually reach his cheeks. âWithout you Iâd never get anything more substantial than a split pea into Faithâs mouth. But it wonât keep getting worse forever, no matter how it seems now. War has to end eventually.â He reads the papers. He doesnât trust them; heâs always looking for whatâs between the lines, because the rah-rah-America rhetoric rings so very hollow. But he reads them.
âKids look happy, at least. Any chance for some candy or something for Christmas?â He settles the box and reaches for Jimmyâs.
Alaric is right about the war. It can't keep going on like this but they said the same thing about the depression. At least this war feels justified and he can take something away from that.
His guest is uncomfortable and Jim feels it in his own bones so he takes the change in subject as a blessing, "Ah. Yes, well. The least I can do." he says. Sometimes the very least as families with children come first. He wonders but doesn't know if children are a sore spot and so he doesn't mention it.
Jimmy looks over his shoulder to indicate the boxes he's had set aside at the back steps of his church, "Since the subject's been raised, I've set another three boxes out for you. It's Christmas, the Ladies Domestic Aid have been wonderful. There's turkey, I hope it's big enough. And I hope you'll both still come for Christmas mass and supper. There's plenty, it doesn't happen often." and he takes to a box and pulls out a little bag of taffy to answer Ric's question, "Small miracles."
do you think this is a game @flameinheaven
I do think it's a game. Watch me win. :)
"I appreciate your help, we couldn't get the drive supplies out without it. We're grateful for all you do." he says, meaning it. Really it is harder to carry and load with the children running the church alley amok but it puts a smile on Jim's face just the same. The boy that runs a circle around him and then off as he's being chased by another boy, his name is Jimmy, too. Jimmy O'Maille, who has chubbier arms and color in his cheeks that wasn't there two months ago. It's satisfying work.
Jim's box is lighter than the one Ric carries but it he still has trouble loading it into the back of the delivery truck. He manages with it, "Between us, these people owe the two of you their lives. There are more new faces every Sunday where I had grown sadly accustom to my flock going missing, one sheep at a time. It's getting worse out there although I don't have to tell you that."

âRice? What the hell is rice? Is that like Rice Krispies?â
Damon Salvatore @thesordidone (via everymiserablemoment)
she faltered for a moment, snapping her mouth shut as she regarded him. âoh my god youâre likeâŠclarence meets bill nye the science guy.â
Castiel only looked confused. Bill Nye was a reference he understood but his personality seemed to be lacking where humans are concerned, "I'm not sure that's a compliment."
@flameinheaven
âYou know, once I PITIED humans. Hell, part of me still DOES, but the rest of me,â he ran his tongue along his teeth and shook his head. âThey donât deserve to live. Why you stand and FIGHT for them, Castiel, Iâll NEVER know.â
The way his brother spoke made Castiel's blood ice. It was love and pity turned against him and Cas knew too well the feeling of being cast away from his own kind over love and pity. He watched Bartleby lounge and fume. Like Lucifer. Cas kept his head down and his hands together, "I'm fighting for all of us. I came to you because I thought you'd understand."
Do me a favor and reblog this if you have absolutely no problems RPing with male muns.

The more Castiel spoke, the bitter Buffy looked, âExactly. The monsters iâve seen. The things iâve gone through⊠I donât have a clue what God means to you, but thatâs not it.â  And she was just going to ignore that little dig about her having friends, because what would be miraculous? Is Castiel going more than thirty seconds without mouthing off about something he doesnât understand.
Or if she could make it to the end of this conversation without seeing him on the end of a flag pole, because currently? Buffy was just waiting for any excuse to hand his ass to him.
Wish granted. Behold, stupid Castiel doing another stupid thing. Maybe there was a God but unfortunately for him, he wasnât coming to the rescue. It took Buffy less time to grab his hand off of her than it did for him to put it there and it was strangely⊠easy. Nevertheless she tilted her head to the side, Castielâs arm in her grasp while a small satisfied smile made its way onto her lips. It was moments like these she wanted to savour, âI was so hoping youâd do that.â Buffy pulled back her arm, more than ready to show an angel what slayer-strength is like.
Deanâs in a good mood. Damn good mood. Baby got herself a wax, wax and buff. Way overdue. Deanâs had the cares pounded right out of him two nights in a row. That was pretty frickinâ overdue, too. Ghostfacers lost their viral video thanks to who? This guy. Yup, feelinâ pretty darn good about himself.
Of course a good dayâs gonna go rogue on ya. Deanâs beer is too fudging cold, breakfast sandwich was too fudging good and now heâs gotta pay for having a good day. Hell, itâs the Winchester way.
Dean heads for the library with that beer tipped back because god thinks itâs hilarious to make you spit take, he does. Damn it. Sprays PBR all over the damn floor at the sight of his ex about to pummel his current, âWuh⊠ho, hey! Dude! What the hell is goinâ on?â
Itâs been a long night, longer week. Samâs finally sleeping, stitched up like a rag doll from an encounter gone sideways with a horned rock monster. When he described it, half out of breath during what they thought was an escape, Faith had the momentary fear that he was describing The Beast. It turns out it was just a sentient rock that wanted a captive audience for his poetry. Ridiculous. Like Sunnydale all over again. Needless to say if Sam hadnât taken a shot at it, heâd be fine right now. Winchesters are such boys.
Still, he needs her and, as much as sheâd rather he be whole right now and not field-patched all to hell and sleeping off a tranq, sheâs getting to like having someone to look after who does the same for her, when she needs it. Getting to like being part of a team, loving someone and trusting them. It doesnât suck.
Faithâs got plans for the night that involve cleaning the dressing on that wound in Samâs side, watching David Cross on Netflix and passing out into a coma of her own for a day or two. Her sleep deficitâs getting hard to ignore but patrollingâs going to Dean and Cas for a few nights. Out of sight, out of mind.
Sheâs on her way to bed, actually, half a toaster strudel stuffed in her cheek like a chipmunk, when she comes across the same dire situation Dean had only moments earlier. Unlike Dean, Faithâs got no horse in this race, and her lack of care if someone gets punched in their face allows her to be a little more reckless in leaping into the fray, âHoly [CENSORED BY THE WB]!â she bounds across the room and slides in between Buffy and Cas, catching Buffyâs fist in the air with both hands and trying to butt Cas away from the obviously angry super hero. No easy task. In spite of being benched for lord knows how long, Buffyâs still strong enough to make Faith stagger back a bit on impact, âWhoa, whoa!â she turns back to the totally secret lovers, snarling and yelling at Dean over her shoulder like she might help Buffy beat them both down if he doesnât do something, âGet him the hell outta here!â
He's fury incarnate as he's swept aside with his teeth bare and an empty hand still reaching for it's victim. It's short, this fury. A moment to think. Castiel finds himself confused amid chaos tumbling so fast on the heels of his transgression that he hardly has time to react. He's removed. Forced away. By a butt. It's not the first time and it won't be the last.
He looks at his hand and turns it over as he does. Is this what love does to you? He would have murdered someone Dean cares for to protect this man that Castiel has come to see as his property. He's still a fuming. The gall and nerve of the woman. Who does she think she is? Dean is married and to some people marriage is a sacred thing. Not to Alaric and Damon but to some people. Had she shown the slightest bit of care or respect for his claim this might have all been avoided.
Castiel tries to speak up for himself but he can't seem to find the words. That's alright. Faith isn't talking to him. He doesn't want to turn around and find Dean there, not knowing how much he saw or heard. Humans are fragile, he realizes now how true that is.

cascountingfreckles:
Just a reminder that Castiel was a captain and highly skilled strategist while he served in heaven as a seraph.
Not to mention he was highly admired, enough to persuade half of the Host to follow him rather than his rival (an archangel) in his civil war.
In âPoint of No Returnâ he faces five angels all by himself and is able to do so and still come out alive by carving an angel banishing symbol onto his own body.
Moreover, he would have to had been concentrating on not letting any of the blood flow from the carving while fighting off the angels, so as not to alert them with a bloody shirt until he was ready to actually use it.
Archangels are said to be âabsoluteâŠheavenâs most terrifying weapon.â
During the series, Castiel has faced all four archangels by himself, knowing it is certain death to do so. (In fact he was killed by two of them).
He managed to break into Luciferâs Cage and rescue Sam.
In âThe Great Escapistâ he uses quantum super-position to remain out of Naomiâs grasp while protecting the angel tablet.
In that same episode, he dug a bullet out of his own guts while keeping the angel guarding him distracted before burying the bullet in the guardâs eye.
You should show him some respect.
