I still think Domi may need to mature a little bit before becoming the vice-captain...I get that he's captain of the Hungary NT and that's a huge responsibility, but being vice-captain of a club team throughout an entire season is a different kind of pressure

maybe give the vice-captaincy to Joey G for this season, then after Virgil leaves (which will probably be soon), Joey G gets the captaincty and Domi gets the vice-captain

i think when virgil goes, the rest of the old guard do. we'll see alisson and joe gomez follow suit. to stop the constant rotation of captains i'd make szoboszlai the vice captain, he can deputise virgil and learn from the best under him. its better for him to mature and step into the role via a natural progression and able to take notes on virgil. then when virgil leaves i'd make szoboszlai 1st captain, curtis jones vice captain, gravenberch 3rd captain. if need be giorgi 4th.

you can easily balance bedding in the new generation of liverpool captains and the leaving of the older ones

i dont have much to say about the world cup as im not too big into international football. however i will say that i am tired of having conversations where people moralise and rationalise their choice of favourite national football teams and vice versa with why they dislike those. holding any country and/or its people up on a pedestal is how you end up with countries like Japan being able to erase its imperial past, or players like the Brazilian national team able to erase their history of supporting facism, or even how the likes of Ghana, Portugal, Morocco, Cape Verde and many more nations will share a locker room with the rapists of their national team.

These millionaires do not care for you. Trying to use morales and history to decide which team you want to win the world cup is objectively stupid when those men will share a locker room with abusers before they invest any money into improving the conditions of their country
