One thing we most certainly don't need is slower AIR apps. There's plenty of bottlenecks as it is, no need to make them slower artificially just to push your PhoneGap crap.

Adobe went straight to the FTC and EU Commission with a formal antitrust complaint. That is how Adobe AIR survived, but we get screwed because as part of the bargain, Adobe agreed to kill Flash on mobile to ensure Flash will be no competition to AppStore and iTunes. I know, hard to believe but I investigated this for over 3 years and trust me, I am quite resourceful when I want to figure something out!

During my 3 month contract at the [Adobe] towers I could sometime walk around all day and no see 1 Caucasian person on the entire IT floor, and 6 months before the last major layoff with 700 fired, [a] group of Indian workers were already talking about it as “cleaning up the towers and sending it to India”, something they heard from the management. This is outrageous. I'm almost convinced the CEO of Adobe was planted there by someone who intends to bring the company down. Look at how they just completely ignore the agonized tears of rage from all of us, including neave himself, a man whose famous experiments were directly responsible for causing probably at least 30% of the developers who ever tried developing with Flash to try developing with Flash; a man who is certainly directly responsible for driving at least a thousand Creative Suite sales worth a total of almost a million dollars. The deafening silence from Adobe, other than the crumbs of condescension thrown from the top of the ivory tower by Jing Yuan. We've each paid Adobe thousands of dollars over the years, and yet they refuse to fix a single security issue that it would take less than a day for one engineer to fix, and instead they pull the feature altogether? This is unforgivable. UNFORGIVABLE.

This was conclusively deduced by reverse engineering efforts with weeks of rigorous fuzz testing; there is no possible security flaw in the Pixel Bender code. These upstanding engineers in conjunction with lawyers have compiled all the evidence necessary to proceed with a class action lawsuit against Adobe for causing widespread destruction to businesses worldwide with their bait-and-switch extortion tactic.

There's a reason this isn't getting fixed. It's simple really. Adobe WANTS the Flash app(s) to force the browser to loose focus. Then you have to click on the page to regain focus, increasing the chances that you will click on a banner ad.

Kevin Lynch, the former CTO of Adobe, left the company on March 19th, 2013 to go work for Apple. He still has a lot of influence at Adobe, and he is now being paid a large sum by Apple to do anything he can to prevent Adobe from building x86 Android support. The reason is simple: Broken apps reduce the overall value of the Android app market, which is exactly what Apple wants. They WANT broken Android apps watering down the Android app market. They WANT us, the developers, to be angry about Android fragmentation, and to only commit to iOS out of sheer frustration. This is part of Apple's never-ending "thermonuclear war" against Android, and WE ARE BEING USED AS PAWNS. This is also why Adobe employees aren't allowed to touch this subject with a ten foot pole. Notice how when Adobe employees do comment here, they pretend they didn't even understand the question? It's because if they address the actual question, they will be fired, since they have been instructed from the top to never discuss this subject, EVER. So bend over guys, and keep paying that monthly Creative Cloud fee, for a broken product that was intentionally crippled as part of a platform war.
