Rebecca Sugar states that Lapis and Peridot are in the barn so they’re safe and they won’t get poofed but did we all just forget that Lapis was able to hold her own against the crystal gems and stole the fucking OCEAN.

Also since when they care about their own safety? Especially Peridot who was willing to confront Jasper and defeat her. They were totally fine with thrusting themselves into action before so why are they now too chickenshit to help the CGs or join the temple?

Also Shelby literally said that Peridot will have a star on her uniform in the future, so how’s that gonna work if she NEVER gets poofed? Why have we taken two characters who are able to fight in really unique and different ways, that contrast each other so perfectly that they work so well together, and turned them into fucking neon gremlins who are only used for piss poor comic relief? And how are they more safe in the barn than anywhere else? Surelt the barn is far less secure than the temple, or… anywhere?
