FSS or Flat Sornieth Society is a very, extremely secret society full of secrets. Annoyingly, Sornieth is a planet, or a globe of course. But our map makers, mathermaticians, and artists (among others) think this should be changed. We, the science dragons, think the same! Or, in the least are interested in the science of it. Let's flatten this world!

FRCA -> Flat Sornieth Society

Hello everynyan!

This is something that has been in the plans for a long time now, a change of names and —in a way— our brand. The few events we had been doing have already been more lore and art focused but with this we wish to make it official.

Now to be clear, the original FRCA was an awesome concept that really brought people together to have fun. But it took a lot of elbow grease to make it all work. And we have been only 3 people for a long time now. Events of that scale just have been impossible to do for us. So this is what we came up with in order to continue to work and involve the community: Flat Sornieth Society.

What then is Flat Sornieth Society? Well, basically we are a lore focused secret society. We are very aware that Sornieth is a planet but we think there would be so many benefits of having that sphere to be… well, flat. I mean, all of our cartographers would love that, right? Our science and magic divisions of course work on variety of different projects that honestly seem to take like 99% of our time, but flat Sornieth is our ultimate goal. But this is all of course absolutely a secret. Won’t leave this room, I trust?

Anyway, this change shouldn’t affect anything on your side of this correspondence. We will continue, business as usual, just under a different name!

hey, what happened with snowed in? prize distribution, which team won, etc. i had a lot of fun during the event, i’ve just been wondering what happened, why the thread was deleted, that kind of thing. i’m glad you guys are planning more events!

To be 100% honest, none of the current mods participated in the Snowed In event. I was personally on hiatus at that time and the other two mods were not even here when the event took place. We wish we could give people satisfactory answers about this, but we just can’t and we apologize for this.

FRCA Status Update

Hello everynyan, this is mod L~

Flight Rising Community Association has been only sporadically active for quite a long time now. It’s not because we lack the will, but we do kinda lack the brain, biceps, time, and energy. But we are working on stuff! We’ve been hinting at it a lot and some new stuff is definitely coming out! Our focus will shift just slightly more towards lore and art, all the creative stuff. We have no intentions to stop being a whole community affair tho so no worries there! It’s more like FRCA will gain some lore of it’s own. For us this whole thing seem really exciting and we are hoping you will feel the same too once we unveil our new brand :)

In the meantime if you’ve ever felt like doing volunteer work for the Flight Rising community then we are open for new people to join in! We have a Discord server and a dedicated staff of 4 stellar individuals that could very well do with couple of more!
