I had the amazing honor of being commissioned by WikiVictorian on Twitter in order to make her new header for the account! I released a video on the process a bit earlier today, so here you have it in case you want to take a look!

Okay so… Adobe just did me really dirty and screwed me over in the payment. I want to get it sorted out but I’m gonna need a lot of money meanwhile so please, consider commissioning me!
Here are my rates:
A sketch starts at $5
A simple cel shaded character is $12 +$4 per extra character +$2-$4 per extra detail +$6 for detailed background
5 prop designs go for $8 if cel shaded +$1 per extra prop
A minute of music (simple piano voicing) is $20 +$20 per minute if fully orchestrated

These are the teasers of my pieces for the @potionsbrewbook zine! They’re illustrations for the recipes of a tea for headaches and a jello made of candy!

I knew this would happen so that's why I made that decision.
No matter what cake I'd make king, there would always be someone not happy with it, so I just made Wedding Cake the ruling Queen (good luck arguing why the wedding cake is not the queen of cakes) and picked a cake I liked as her consort.

So, is there any point in the characters being based off of food? Like does it only effect their name and clothing style, or is there more to it than that?
There is a point indeed! I can’t quite reveal everything here but the world they live in is based on food! Each different food has a different expectedd function in society.
Cocoas usually run coffeeshops or restaurants, Pies work in the plantations and farms, Teas are nobility and run huge businesses, and Cakes, between others, are high nobility and royalty. The royal family is composed of Wedding Cake as the queen, Carrot Cake as the king, Princess Cake as the princess and Esterházy Cake as the prince.
But it’s not only their function, the personality and their story has had influence from the food they are.
A very clear example is Earl Grey Tea: In real life, Earl Grey is a tea made with black tea leaves and bergamot oil, and usually served with a dash of milk. In the comic, Earl Grey is the daughter of London Fog (An Earl Grey with much more milk, almost like a latte) who is the heir of the Grey family, and Bergamot Oil, who is an Oil, and by thus a servant to the teas (just like Cookies are to Cakes and other baked goods). This makes her not a tea but not an oil, so she’s in this mixed place where even her aunt Lady Grey thinks of her too lowly to even adress her properly, while she’s too up high to be with the rest of the oils.

Hey! This is still going on!
Hello! I know some of you have been following this Tumblr for over a year and it's almost been a year since I last updated anything about the comic...
Don't worry, this project isn't cancelled! I pretty much plan to keep this going on till the end, no matter what happens in the process.
The thing is I'm a student. And I'm finishing my last year. This includes a period of real work in a business and it's consuming my energy. I will try and do as much as I can for now but you must know this will keep going slow for a while.
I have very great things planned for this so stay tuned for them! In the meantime, you can keep an eye on me in my Twitter. Here you have it, I've been much more active on it these last weeks.
As promised, here is the first of the Webcomicast’s last three episodes! A sweet treat for teatime. A lot has changed in FLAVORS! since this interview, so more than anything I encourage you to get out there and read it!

I haven't been able to work much on this because I was busy with college (I'm in my last engineering year) and I had a major breakthrough in my art career when I was selected as the poster for the local comic-con, so I had tons of work to do!
The webcomic will continue very very soon, and a new song is coming with the next pages!
