Emergency Move | Please Help

I forgot to make a full on post about this but here is my post to get this out there, known, and get help.

So housing is trying to use scare tactics and other means to get us out of the house. My mother bought a dryer from our last neighbors and housing is saying that she got someone to go over there and steal it. This isn't true and she even has a paper detailing that she, in fact, bought it.

Regardless we got an eviction notice and my own potential safety is at risk so I am having to move. I have plans in place of what I'm gonna do and where I'm going but I do still need some help.

First off, while I'm not sure how much it'll all be, the things I need help with the most is just getting money to ship my items to where I'm moving to.

Another is help to pay my bills so I still have my phone and such while I'm here. Those don't just go away because of this.

I may need more help with some other things down the road but for now these are my main concerns.

Phone: $25/$124

Internet: $0/$180. $80 is due immediately. I won't be paying for my internet after this and plan to fully transfer it to my Mom so she can plan what to do from there once I'm gone.

Shipping Costs: Unsure, but any help for that would also be highly appreciated.

With this move though I am hoping to use this to better help broaden my places of possible work and I can still get help via Vocational Rehab in the new state.

Time to make my yearly post lol

Umm, yeah so it’s been over a year of living in Canada and idk if I can ever get used to how cold it is. The winters are brutal, it got down to -30°F today, it’s too cold to be outside. That aside, I’ve been getting used to things as I go. I filed paperwork a few months ago and soon I’ll be able to do more things here like work and have free healthcare haha

Unrelated side note, sometimes I look at people I used to associate with (who took advantage of me) and see if they had made any progress in their lives or situations. It seems to not be the case, I was the only one to move on and improve. I was hoping they would change for the better but it’s no longer in my hands. It does make me feel a sort of way, but it just further solidifies my decision to cut them off entirely.

In any case, I didn’t want this post to be about that. I had a small health scare the day after my birthday but I made it through that in one piece. Basically, I ate too much spinach and it gave me a kidney stone. So much for eating healthier rip

I did tweak my diet a little bit, and I’m doing much better. I’m also looking forward to spending the holidays with my boyfriend’s family and welcome the new year. I have big plans for next year, getting my permanent residency, getting back to work, maybe get engaged??? 👀

Idk, I’ve just been so happy being with the one I love everyday and the time seems to pass by quickly. I’m ready to be able to provide much more next year and help out with more.

just a quick update for the few people that actually follow me lmao

I ended up taking a leap of faith and fully moved to Canada to live with my boyfriend last October.

It’s been great so far, I love him and his family and I was able to bring my doggo with me as well! Sure there have been times where I miss home and my family a little, but it’s been worth it! Over time, little by little this place will feel fully like home

I know iPads are becoming a super popular drawing medium as of late, so I just wanted to put this out there: be wary of getting your device fixed at apple.

I had a barely 2 year old iPad that just up and quit working, I brought it to apple and they said it was a software issue with no fix. My apple insurance had JUST expired, so they told me I’d have to trade it in and spend $600 on a new one. I couldn’t afford that so I took it and left.

I ended up sending it to a mutual connection who fixes apple stuff on the DL. He figured out that the “software issue” was actually just a bad battery - a $100 fix. There was NO WAY that apple wasn’t going to pocket the $600 and then turn around and resell it for a profit.

This advice could go to all apple products: if they can’t fix it in the store for free take it somewhere else! They’ve made it impossible to fix at home but there are individuals out there with the tools and knowledge to fix it for less cost to you. Apple is corrupt. Don’t let them scam you like they almost did with me.
