Sure, superhuman stamina came in handy when you were fighting off a Skrull invasion or flying around the atmosphere at incredible speed, but it had proven to be a double-edged sword. She absolutely needed her daily exercise in order to remain at least remotely pleasant, yet working out to the point where she actually felt tired had become incredibly difficult.
“Yes?” she spoke, having realised she was no longer alone. The gym she had chosen - the closest one she had been able to find - was small and, well, bit of a drab. Carol had hoped no one else would wander in but clearly she had been naive to think so.
it was a priority to at least make sure all these displaced heroes and their...not so heroic counterparts were accounted for. the next step was to make sure they were comfortable and taken care of. at least, in barry’s opinion, that was important. if he’d been the one dropped into another universe, he would have greatly appreciated it. “sorry to bother you,” he said easily, smiling and sitting down on one of the nearby benches. “i’ll let you get back to it, i just thought i’d let you know we have some training facilities that you’d probably be more comfortable in. you’re welcome to use them.” the facilities in question weren’t the main ones anymore—those were in league quarters, and not for other world use because of the sensitive material in the watch tower...but the older ones were on earth, and still pretty state of the art. they really weren’t being used much and it was a shame.
