AITA for not liking musicals?
I get really uncomfortable thinking about people singing and dancing on stage. I'm a very average guy and this is one of the only things I have strong feelings about, but sometimes it feels like the entire world is forcing me to experience musical theatre. A couple of people have even gotten offended that I won't go see musicals with them, which seems unjustified. The place where I get coffee has a rule that if you tip, the cute little barista sings for you. And no, I can't just go to Starbucks instead because I support independent businesses. Just this morning I accidentally crossed paths with a flash mob who were singing and trying to get me to join in. I know this sounds dramatic, but it really felt like I couldn't escape. It was hell.
Hold on, my boss wants to see me. It sounds bad. Oh well, at least he won't be singing to me. Small mercies. I'll go see what he wants.
