but ive seen MANY people try to get into the lesbian community who are aroace or bisexual or use male pronouns. you all don’t see lesbianism for what it is. you treat it as if it’s some sort of fancy club or as if it all about pale pink tumblr aesthetics. you try every single way you can to invade women-only spaces, and call us terrible people for not letting you in. you don’t understand the struggles of being a lesbian in a society where everything is centered around men. you try so desperately to be a part of a community you have no place in because you think it’s all sunshine and rainbows.
lesbians are women who are only attracted to other women. if you don’t fit into that, this space isn’t for you. it’s that simple.
there are lesbians who use he/him and they/them pronouns please be respectful. pronouns don’t equal gender.

The amount of people being very outwardly lesbophobic in light on Elliot Pages coming out is disgusting but not surprising. I think the argument that “people who microlabel are the reason cishet people hate our community” is such a bad take. Hey y’all..... I’m deleting tumblr as if right now. It’s just not a good influence on me. Thank you to those who have supported me. I may come back one day but I really don’t know. Love y’all.
I want to make my opinions clear because I think I should: my mind has changed. I think ace people should be included in the lgbtq+ community. I do think it’s important to realize that the struggles ace people go through are not the same as people who are attracted to the same gender or trans, but I do think ace people have a place in our community. I was basing my thoughts too much on my own personal experience as a lesbian greysexual. I’ve dealt with a lot of homophobia but no aphobia whatsoever. But I realize not everyone has the same experience as me. So I would like to apologize to anyone who I hurt by what I said. I no longer agree with it.
ive been SAYING this but growing up gay is a traumatic experience in and of itself
like not that anyone asked BUT to expand on this but despite the obvious interactions with homophobia that every gay person is bound to encounter its just like…your family/even some close friends never ~truly~ know who you are or what you’re interested in because the Gay Experience is about protecting your identity/interests before everything else so by the time you grow up even your parents - no matter how accepting they think they are - have absolutely no inkling about who you really are as a person and thats just a super lonely and exhausting way to exist within a family or a social circle broe!
I love vintage things and the 50’s “aesthetic” but then I remember that there’s a good chance I would literally be hate crimed if I lived in that era 👁👄👁
