Return of the Bumble Bee! After a month off from riding any distance - due to both being busy and this crazy desert heat - Bumble Bee and I finally went back out. And this time we had a +1 in the form of my favorite lady. Abby is out for a week visiting and we decided to see some of the natural beauty around LV. Although we were temporarily convinced by the weather reports that today was going to be full of thunder storms, we finally decided to brave it and headed out to Red Rock Canyon. Southern Utah may have spoiled me but this quick ride from the city was pretty fantastic, made even better by the 3(ish) hour hike we took along the way. There are a lot of great trails we didn't get to explore but for now I'm as happy as I can imagine being back in the saddle with my lady behind me.

Day 2 at P100

Yesterday was my second day at Project 100. Doing a lot of following people but having some really interesting conversations about transportation in a suburban oriented city and the result on urbanism. Really fun stuff. Being in a shared work space (Work In Progress) i also get to hear some fun conversations about video game design and random software stuff. The guy sitting behind me is wearing Google Glass, so there's that too. Looking forward to some Day 3 fun.

Day One is going well so far. Spending my time getting oriented on what the rest of the team is doing. Looks like that's what this week will be filled with, which works really well for me. I love getting a bigger picture view before diving in. 

In about 20 minutes I'm sitting on a meeting with the company Galvanize out of Denver who is considering expanding and possibly into LV. As I was checking out their website preparing I came across this blog post by the CEO of the company. Although I'm not starting a business I felt like it captured a lot of how I feel about Abby and our ride together. Plus it uses a motorcycle analogy!
