It took a moment for lance to process what his room mate just said. He only nodded in response to Keith’s question. “Yeah I’ll eat the other half of your Chinese, and yeah, you’re bothering me.”

He smirked, “You’re always bothering me.”

Lance rolled of his bed carefully and removed the cucumbers off his eyes. He made his way towards the food. He could smell it as he got closer. He threw the food into the their small microwave and heat it up. He tapped his foot as he waited for the food to heat up. He looked over at Keith, and turned his head away. What was he doing so late at night? Lance figured that it was probably school work or something, but couldn’t he had done it earlier, or on a different day?

Afterwards he sat down and began eating the food silently.

“What did you order?” He took another bite of the food. It tasted quite good. He glanced over at Keith again.

Keith didn’t look up. He was typing, then staring at the screen, reading, then he took notes again. He lifted his head.

“You’re welcome,” he said with a soft smile, but it faded quickly. He pressed his lips together, they formed a thin line. He pouted. “Well, sorry,” he added then. “I’ll ask for a change, maybe find an apartment, so I won’t bother you,” he answered dryly. He typed something short and quick, then turned his laptop off.

“Chow mein.” Keith put his laptop aside, dropped himself on the bed and pulled the cover over himself. He turned showing his back to Lance.

“Good night.” He will just take a quick shower on the morning. Then head to Pidge, then ask some seniors, maybe one of them help him. He liked licing with Lance. He was so bright and warm and just being there helped Keith to stay over the surface and motivate him to be better and work harder in school. He didn’t want to bother him.

Lance had finishing the chow mein. He threw away the trash and strolled over to his bed. He had noticed Keith’s smile, but remained silent. Inside him he had felt a light ignite. He decided to ignore this feeling and make his way to bed.

He laid down and whipped out his phone. Immediately, he began to text a few girls which he had somehow magically succeed on getting her number.

To get on her good side he began gossiping with her and some other things. Soon after he began giggling. Even though the other girls text weren’t funny, he had an urge to laugh. He gave a side glare at Keith to see if he had noticed. A smirk began to form on his lips.

Keith gritted his teeth. Lance ignored him. It started with he ignored that he said he will find another place. Lance didn’t say okay. But he didn’t try to make him stay. Keith wanted to stay. He wanted to get along with Lance. He glanced up and rested his eyes on the other. From the cover of his laptop he glanced at Lance.

He was so cute as he was eating. Keith smiled to him then quickly turned back to the screen before Lance caught him watching.

Lance ignored him when he said good night. Even. He didn’t say to him a single word. Keith gritted his teeth again. He flinched when he heard Lance chuckling and he peeked at his room mate over his shoulder. He sighed.

He was scold because he stayed up late. But he was in quiet at least.

He glanced at Lance again. And then… he saw Lance glared at him. He kicked off his blanket and sat up quickly. He turned to Lance and looked at him.

Lance had caught Keith watching, so why hadn’t he said anything? He ignored Keith and continued to text his women. His smile disappeared quickly when he received a message. His mouth dropped, 

“No way!” he exclaimed and continued texting. His fingers moved rapidly across the keyboard and soon his smirk returned. He noticed Keith get on his bed and move around a bit.  He bounced around in his bed and then put his face mask back on. 

“What’s up? You’re looking at me funny? Something wrong?“ Lance didn’t think he did anything wrong, so what was wrong? He frowned little. If he was Keith was going to say something stupid again (Only stupid in Lance’s mind) then Lance did not want to hear it.

Keith shrugged. “Nothing,” he answered and pretended it is really nothing and Lance is just his room mate and he doesn’t have a small crush on him. Because, just look at him! He was pretty and smart and beautiful.

“Have you ever dated with a guy?” He glanced at Lance. “I mean, you usually after girls, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find attractive another dude in that way. Right? So… What about you?”

Keith decided to chat instead of arguing - he could do that too, but… Trying to get closer to Lance seemed a better idea.

He shifted in his bed to face Keith. He almost choked on his own saliva. 

“I’m sorry?“ he laughed a little finding the thought of him actually liking another guy amusing. He wanted to pick a fight with Keith, but couldn’t find himself to do it. Maybe Keith actually meant it? He felt as it was an inappropriate tine to pick on the other.

“No, I've never dated another man. But If you interested I can make an exception.” He flashed a smirk with a bright shine in his teeth. Of course he was kidding, well only partly kidding. He kept his smirk going until the other man did or said something.

Lance had finally finished a tiring day of chemistry and statistics. It had been rough considering he was struggling with both. To be truthful, he wasn’t very good at sciences and math. He wasn’t very good at anything in general. And after being a long day of work and school, Lance just wanted a nap. He left the university to make his way back to his dorm. 

Fortunately for him, his dorm wasn’t very far. He searched his pockets for his keys and fumbled with them until he found the right one. he placed the key in the lock and unlocked the door. He entered to a fresh smell in the room. Someone had been cleaning, and it wasn’t him.

He gave a wave to his room mate and threw his notes and book bag to the side of his bed. He went to get some clothes and shower.

After he had finished his shower, he carefully put on his beauty products. by placing cream on his face and carrying a cucumber on each hand, he made his way to his bed in his bath robe. He threw the bathrobe aside, exposing his tan skin.

 Almost like he died, he fell onto his bed and snuggled up to his pillow. He got under his blankets and wrapped himself around them. It was late at night and he felt like he could sleep forever, so he shut his eyes and placed the cucumbers, one on each eye. He soon realized he couldn’t sleep forever. Not because it was impossible, but because a certain someone was up late at night researching. Lance could see the bright lights through his eyelids and cucumbers.

He sighed, “Hey Keith, how long to you plan to be awake?”

Keith had a nice day. His first class started at eleven, which was awesome according to he went to bed late (kind of early in the other point of view, about four am), and he was tired. He was done early and he was back in the dorm around three pm. He tried to organise his stuff a bit, so his room mate won’t look at him with pure hate, then placed himself on his bed and continued the work he did on the previous night.

Lance arrived home late, so Keith had time to order dinner, then went back to read articles and make notes to himself. When his room mate arrived, he did his daily (nightly) route, and Keith completely ignored him. Well, kind of. He glanced up time to time checking on him.

“Long,” he answered shortly, glancing up. He couldn’t see Lance from here, the screen of his laptop screen was too bright and made him blind for the dark and he didn’t wait the time when they’re adjusted. “I’m not loud,” he added, a bit offended. “By the way, I ordered Chinese for dinner and there’s the half of it, if you’re hungry. You can have it.” He was silent for a short. “Am I bothering you?”
