hi. so, my mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer recently after a trip to the ER that ended up with her being admitted to the hospital for several days. technically, we're waiting on the results of the biopsy; in practice, everyone responsible for her care has made it clear what to expect.

my mom and i are not the kind of people who can afford her missing much work, let alone a long stay in the hospital and all the work she missed before that because of the cancer symptoms. we'll be availing ourselves of as much assistance as we possibly can, but we also really need any immediate help we can get to make up for the time she's lost at work and support us while we're waiting to receive assistance from the government/cancer orgs/etc.

I can't keep waking up in a world where I read the news and I see schoolchildren bombed, millions of people displaced, old ladies carrying their cats and while their houses get turned into rubble, the waste of industry and human talent into bombs that shoot down other bombs.

Even the most just war of liberation is painful and regrettable, but you well know I'm not talking about that, we're watching first world countries sell weapons to feed endless war and just bombing targets like if it's a reflex act just what they do, the complete surrender of any hope of building a better world or coexisting and we're all treating this like it's just the natural state of things.

I'm sorry if I'm being dramatic but genuinely, get more anti war right now.

dawg. fiancée and myself just watched night 2 wrestle mania (pirated). and it was so dog shit. i had low hopes but man that was fucking rough. oba femi was the best part easy. glad to be rid of brock lesnar i can't stand that loser. but i hated that there were times when wrestlers that i genuinely used to like and thought were awesome are in a match and all i can think is "fuck lets be done with this already" and "this is taking so fucking long". what a painful slopfest.
