mairon, not too long after corruption. playing around with his shapeshifting abilites. what if there were certain creatures that were considered ‘ acceptable’ to transform into & others considered unacceptable? might also be why sau has so much fun transforming after he defects! idk i thought it was an interesting thought

a h ah the first one is on my list and then my second one, as i mentioned in the psa, was someone using givenclarity’s style.

there are like... quite a few though. i only ever bring up the ones where it is like SUPER obvious. which style is kashyuri’s similar to? because to me it reminds me of like two people but it is some their own, but heavily influenced?

maybe send them asks that they should watch for it (because i think some of them might be begginers who don't realize this is not ok)

i contacted givenclarity and hatteeho and i’ll let them handle it.

if it isn’t something that bothers them, i’ll just leave it alone. but in the future, i might, honestly. this is something that’s happening far too often for my likes.

do you mean

what other artists stuff that’s happened to? because i can give you that much. i’ve seen givenclarity & hatteeho’s style floating about out there in the past couple of days. that’s what kind of pushed me to make the post. because it isn’t just phob’s style anymore, it’s a couple of others too.

but i won’t publicly give out the links to the people who are doing that, if that is what you mean. but if you come to me personally, i might be inclined to show you what i mean.

also, thank you for being so polite, i was honestly expecting some people to be rude over that post.

hello angbang fandom. or, sauron fandom. whatever we wanna call ourselves.

i have noticed the rather scary trend of people not using their own art style. and when they use the style of someone else, they don’t credit them.

it’s one thing to use the sauron that @phobso has designed. but it is another thing entirely to draw characters in a style exactly like hers and then not credit her at all. it’s like working off of someone else’s success

and phobs isn’t the only popular artist who’s style has been copied within this little sect of artists.

seeing these sorts of things really doesn’t sit well with me, so i urge people to credit artists. but even then, pls be reminded, that if you are using the style of another, that is a form of copying and it still might not sit well with the artist
