Sansa Stark - Chloé Resort Spring/Summer 2016
Just keep smiling right?
Smiles are contagious.
I am beginning to think things will never go back to normal.
I'm sure one day things will be as they once were.
This City...
Well.. I’m glad you find Highgarden so.. Hospitable. We try to make.. Everyone.. Feel welcome.
Well, you are doing a fantastic job.
"Father is just willing to ship us off to the first house that makes a proposal…" Ellyn murmured, anger evident in her voice. First, he wanted to give the Tyrells Brightwater Keep, and now he was content to give Clayre off to a new branch of the Rowan house. Did he not think anything through? She ran her fingers through her hair before meeting her sister’s eyes. "And you are going to have him call it off, yes?" she asked, assuming it was what she wanted because of her tender words towards Willas.
"The first house he deems worthy enough, of course," she said with a small shrug. Their father just didn't see the bigger picture most of the time. He wasn't even Lord of Brightwater Keep yet, didn't their grandfather have a say in any of this? "I will try, yes," she nodded.
This City...
Besides the places that is your home, no where else ever really does fee like home.
I must say I agree, though Highgarden often feels more like home than Brightwater Keep does.
This City...
No, it hasn’t. But on certain occasions it is not so bad. Though it wouldn’t be the only city in the realm or kingdoms that give that feeling.
I haven't been anywhere besides Brightwater Keep, Highgarden and the capital, so I fear I cannot speak for other places but I can't say I'vev ever felt at home in King's Landing.
This City...
It always seems to be more sad and more tiring than I expect
It never has been a very happy or welcoming city.
"Thank you, Clayre…" she responded half-heartedly, her mind now totally consumed by her sister’s news. "You could do worse, that is for sure. Yet becoming a Rowan is not going to further the Florent name…" Ellyn shook her head again, balling her hands into fists. "Father is such a fool!" she hissed, rolling her eyes. "What are we going to do, Clayre?"
"Father seems to think that it will. He is creating a cadet branch of his house and Father thinks that because they are an old house, as old as our own and the Tyrell house, that it is good enough," she said. She did not agree with their father, but that much was obvious from her tone of voice. "I have been more time with Willas and I think he s becoming more fond of me. Alex said that he would end the betrothal if I truly wanted it, so I mus speak with him about it to."
"I have not been feeling well, that is for sure." Upon hearing Clayre’s news, Ellyn sighed, moving away from the door to sit in a chair. "I know of him." Alex was a good guy, of that she knew. And yet she wanted Clayre to have Highgarden. "Why is father messing with all of our plans?" She shook her head from side to side as she covered her mouth with her hand.
"I am sorry to hear that sister, I hope you get better soon." Ellyn was obviously unhappy with this news, as much as Clayre expected her to be. "I have only spoken to him a few times. He is... not someone I would prefer to spend the rest of my life with. He is nice, but he is negative and lacks self confidence," she said with a sigh. She had not told Alex as much, nor their father, for obvious reasons. He is no Willas. She decided it was best not to add that on however. "Because Father is impatient and incompetent."
"Do not worry, I was not present for the riots. I have barely left my room as of late." Pausing, Ellyn furrowed her brow. "Your news does not sound good, dear sister…"
"I am glad you hear you were not caught in it. Are you sick? No it's not particularly good news. Father is up to his games again, and I am betrothed to Alexandyr Rowan. He used to be on the Kingsguard but was dismissed and given new lands."
"Clayre! I did not even know you were back! What a horrible sister I am…"
I heard about the riots, and I had to come see how you and Aleida were doing.
That and... I have something I have to tell you.
"Can I help you?"
Oh, Ellyn, I've been searching for you everywhere!
And once again, I find myself in the capital.
It’s not a good time to be there, I imagine. After all, everything seems to be falling apart at the seams.
Very much so, but I worry for my sisters.
And once again, I find myself in the capital.
You’ve arrived at a rather dangerous time, my lady.
And that's why I have come, my lord. I have to check up on my sisters who are here.
And once again, I find myself in the capital.
I expect I'll be leaving for Rosegrove tomorrow.
If you wanted to, then I suppose so. I fear that it would be frightfully boring for you though, as I’ll be spending most of my time touring the towns and villages and getting to know my people.
I think I shall take a trip to the capital before joining you. I need to check up on my sisters after all the riots.
I'm sure your people will love you.
