“Don’t go.”
tlou sentences | accepting
The action of weaving together the measures lengths of hair stopped, the vashoth’s weight shifting to one leg as she turned on it’s heel slowly, vision finally hooking on the source of the voice–the source had never been in question, the sound of it had been tuned to her senses, the pitch of it familiar in a manner that was welcome and cherished. The braid was forgotten, slipping in priority as the words reverberated within the cage of her ribs. Don’t go. All he needed to do was ask and she wouldn’t, but the words wrapped up in that murmured package tugged on the strings woven around her bones that spelled out his name.
“I’m not leaving now.” There it was, the casual tip of one corner of her mouth, the small shift of the muscles on her jawline as the effort to withhold the smile gave way and allowed the motion to come into fruition. “But I am getting ready to, unless you have reason for me to stay a bit longer.”It was more jest than anything, for he could list any menial reason and she would find it fit. Little issue was ever taken for an excuse within his golden company, and catching some of the brilliance that the Commander--her Commander--radiated was enough to keep her ever shining. Don’t go, he had said, and Kossala knew that for him she wouldn’t ever truly leave.

honestly, I've been rereading the thread we have and I am SO BLOWN AWAY by your writing. you utilize turns of prose that I've never seen on tumblr. it's an expressive language, but so easy to follow and so evocative to read. and you are just a bundle of sunshine and deserve all the goodness in the world. also ??? you can draw like wtf u have Too Much Talent you are truly beloved ok!
so I’ve been hoarding this silently in my inbox because it seriously?? is so touching and makes my heart ache (in a good way, in that touched sort of way that gets me all choked up and full of light) and I need to ramble so here is a cut for my emotional babbling.
You are not weak. You are full of spines and wars, scars and fire. You are fighting to carry a heart so heavy even Atlas cannot hold it up. There is all of this quiet, drowning kind of falling apart inside you and yet you are still breathing. You are still here. You are still here.
astagesetforcatastrophe, you are not weak (via astagesetforcatastrophe)
I highly recommend you follow the person I reblogged this from.

“ If’n ye don’ mind me askin’ – whit dis ‘vashedan’ pure decht in th’ Common?”
“What-- are you---?” She blinked a few times, the heavy accent he sported causing her to rifle through the languages she did know to find a match before coming to the conclusion it was, indeed, common. Perhaps more surprising than that was that she didn’t need to look down at him all that much. “Shit.” It was both an answer and an exclamation. “That means shit, or trash--how did you? Did someone call you vashedan?”
spireborn:
` ALL THE PERFUMES in orlais will not sweeten this little hand… strawberry-stained fingers, scrubbed raw to rid them of the smell of blood. blood. blood. gurgling, gushing blood. `
A moment of hesitation gave her pause, her very breath catching in her throat as the words thrummed into her veins. The words from the boy were gentle, but the weight they carried were anything but. The vashoth was devoted in her cause to shine as best as she could outside of any altercation, however it took reminders like this to strike that sliver deeper under her thick skin. Her hands were red, vibrant red, and no amount of cleaning could get that stain out of the valleys of her prints. She turned to the boy, offering him a more reserved sort of smile before breaking the paralysis of the rest of her body and stepping towards him. "Orlesian perfumes would be far too overbearing, just my personal taste----and, did you know a strawberry is not truly a berry?" She was not dismissing his words, not writing them off as untrue. Truthfully Kossala wasn't even arguing the point he made, simply quietly accepting it and engaging him in conversation that, hopefully, would not be so bleak.

Solas’s eyes narrowed at the teeth that pinched grey lips, as if trying to bite back a smile. She was enjoying this. He could go out of his way to ensure this experience would be uncomfortable for her as it would be for him. Kossala did not strike him as the vengeful sort, so he did not feel any fear of retaliation. Her knee thumped down in the sand, and he realised (with a beleaguered sigh) there was no further chance for delay.
Tentatively, he took her hand, looking from his knees to her shoulders like the distance between them were as great as the cliffs that towered over them. His other hand grasped her shoulder, feet pushing off from a sand bank. Solas tried not to pull as one leg hooked over her shoulder, stifling his grunts against the back of his teeth. His weight shifted, and for a moment he felt as if he were going to fall back. Ignoring the instinct to wrap his arms around her head, he swung the other leg as if he were climbing an oddly shaped horse.
“I believe–” he began, stopping as he remembered what she said. His hands held her horns gingerly, as if they were made of glass and not bone. “I believe it is safe for you to stand, now.”
When was the last time she had done this? Honestly she couldn't remember, partially because the Inquisition had little time for fun and games, nevertheless it was likely with a child, she was more than accommodating to give them a high perch and parade them around as they gaped in awe at their towering position. She doubted that Solas would feel much awe, but this would be useful on some level--and perhaps a moment in history Kossala would never want faded from her memory. She was still as he got himself settled, and again the vashoth had to bite down to keep her features composed as he got seated. "If you're sure." There was a slight tease to the weighted word, all in good nature of course. Kossala didn't hesitate to reach up and hold onto the lower part of his legs--perhaps bold, but she would rather garner scorn from that then the alternative, which could be the elf falling backwards right off of her. There was a slight wobble as she stood, pressing up with one foot before firmly getting both heels in the sand. "Tell me if you start feeling off balanced at all--oh, and--" She almost twisted her head, but over-corrected herself into looking straight ahead. "You're on duty for looking to either side, don't want to gut you on a horn--they're not that sharp actually--if you spot something you let me know." She paused as she slowly starting to walk, adjusting to the weight of him and the added extension of another body. "You ever done this? Rode a Vashoth---" Phrasing. She closed her mouth, reflecting on the innuendo in silence before pressing on. "--I mean, been up on someone's shoulders?"

⋞⚔⋟ – Appearing in a Chaos invested land was all but unfamiliar to the Fae who sought to preserve the balance of all multi-verses– – and thus she appeared in The Hissing Wastes. One could debate whether it was her fortune that immediately led her to a Rift or her misfortune , but all would agree she had to take out these foes regardless how strong. One down, two down, four down in her brief frenzy she forgot the countless of beings she cut through but to no possible avail. Her vamperic rune blade could suck little to no soul stuff from these wretched beings and their numbers continuously began to increase. ❛ There’s no end to them ! ❜
❛ That– – thing. That’s what empowers them… I have to destroy it ! ❜
It was less the sound of the voice and more the sound of fighting that caught the vashoth's attention and caused her to steer her and her companions to the source of it. The mass of her hair was tied up in knots, kept out of the way from getting caught in that wind that stung with sprays of sand. When the scenario laid before them involving what looked to be a woman fighting off the demons, there was no hesitation from Kossala to jump into the fray. The procedure of sealing up the wounds in the sky and decimating the demons that spewed from them had become regular by now--why, it almost had become familiar. She slipped into the battle, flashing forth, daggers drawn and acting as natural as her own appendages as she started the process of cutting down some of the numbers. "Finish the wave--" She tilted up her head, voice loud and brassy as she directed it to the stranger, and to her companions who fell into line. "--cut down these ones, then we'll finish it." There was no time to trade names, no time to expect anything else than absolute trust as she focused her attentions on carving down the demons. Hopefully this would turn in their favor, and hopefully this wasn't a trap.
