man, teenaged girls aren’t allowed to have a genuine interest in anything without being ridiculed for it. if a girl likes ugg boots and starbucks she’s stupid and stereotypical, but if she likes combat boots and obscure coffee houses she’s a hipster wannabe and is trying too hard. if a girl listens to boy bands and other popular artists she’s a dumb follower, if she reads comics or plays video games she’s a poser/fake geek girl, if she likes sex she’s a slut but if she doesn’t like sex she’s a prude, if she wears makeup she’s fake but if she doesn’t wear makeup she’s a slob, if she has low self-esteem she needs to learn to love herself but if she has high self-esteem she’s overconfident and vain, if she’s interested in politics she’s a crazy social justice warrior but if she prefers to stay out of social matters she’s a dumb airhead. girls are literally mocked for every single thing they like or do, no matter what those things are, and i’m really really sick of it.

Today in the park I was walking my dog and there was this other girl walking her poodle. She was really pretty and very very nice. Our dogs played for a little while. And then her poodle squatted and pooped, and when she leaned down to pick it up a dude started yelling obscenities about how he’d like to put his dick in her ass.

She got up and literally threw the bag of warm poop at him.

It hit him in the face.

I got to witness that. This might be the best day of my life.

Brooklyn Man With $10 Million Private African Art Collection Launches Kickstarter Campaign To Fund Museum.

The story of Eric Edwards

A former AT&T executive, attracted quite a bit of attention and gained a score of new supporters after he was featured alongside his $10 million private collection of African art for the documentary series The Collector. Edwards, a Brooklyn resident, estimates his collection of over 2500 pieces, to be worth approximate $10 million dollars. The extensive collection spans all 54 countries on the continent of Africa and some pieces date back to as much as 4,000 years.

Edwards announced his plans to open an African art museum in Brooklyn, so that his collection would live on and continue to be enjoyed by many for years to come. He hopes to open the Cultural Museum of African Art Eric Edwards Collection (CMAAEEC) by the summer of 2016, and has even secured famed architect Rodney Léon for the project. Léon helped design the African Burial Ground National Monument in Manhattan.

Edwards recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the project.

Obama finally drops the N-Word in serious conversation about race

But don’t worry, it was used to make a point about the reality of racism in America during an interview released Monday with comedian Marc Maron.

Obama weighed in for the podcast “WTF with Marc Maron” on the national debate on race relations and gun control that has been reignited after the Charleston shooting at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

“I always tell young people, in particular, do not say that nothing has changed when it comes to race in America, unless you’ve lived through being a black man in the 1950s or ‘60s or ‘70s. It is incontrovertible that race relations have improved significantly during my lifetime and yours,” Obama said. “the legacy of slavery, Jim Crow, discrimination” exists in institutions and casts “a long shadow and that’s still part of our DNA that’s passed on.”

Obama used the N-word and explained that the absence of racist language does not mean that racism doesn’t exist.

“Racism, we are not cured of it. And it’s not just a matter of it not being polite to say nigger in public,” Obama said. “That’s not the measure of whether racism still exists or not. It’s not just a matter of overt discrimination. Societies don’t, overnight, completely erase everything that happened 200 to 300 years prior.”

The White House released a statement saying that this is not the first time the President has used the N-word. “Truth is he uses the term about a dozen times in Dreams from my Father,” White House Deputy Press Secretary Eric Schultz said.
