NON-TARGARYEN OCS + THEIR DRAGON (if they were to ever claim one)

mei lui -> vermithor: my sweet girl with an angry huge dragon makes sense to me especially when considering her more rageful streak. a little territorial, loyal yet easily blinded by judgement etc. BUT the conrasts are so fun to play with too.

coren lui -> vhagar: representations of legacy, and weight of ambition. there is something about both of them that is very admirable, yet can be terrifying to a degree.

alaria redwyne -> meleys: both have a sharp, proud and burning presence. respected figure yet caught up in forces bigger than themselves.

shen lui -> caraxes: volatile, aggressive, but deeply loyal. while they might be someone with some moral unitability, there is much love too that they offer to close ones.

nymeria penrose -> sheep stealer; not tied to their species/family legacy, but earned recognition through boldness and defiance in a way.

cedryk wylde -> silverwing: defined by endurance, restrain and empathy. some one that holds on to love, is able to see damage, and has the will to survive as far they as can (also underestimated and worn out by the war around them)

ysabel rowan -> sunfyre: spectacular, radiant and beautiful. they are effortlessly adored, a little vain. loyal to fault and fear of decay.

ON THE NAMING OF PRINCESS CORYANNE MARTELL.

The youngest daughter of Prince Maron Martell and his princess-consort Daenerys of House Targaryen was recorded in the official rolls as Coryanne Martell, named—so the court was told—in honour of another Coryanne, younger sister to Aliandra Martell, who was the head of House Martell during the reign of King Aegon III Targaryen. It was a fitting explanation, presented without ceremony, and no maester present thought to question it.

The official record stands. It has never been amended.

Yet those who knew Princess Daenerys well—and few truly did—noted a particular quality to her expression when the name was first announced. Not the solemnity appropriate to the occasion, but something lighter, carefully restrained. A maester of long memory might have called it amusement.

For it is whispered, though never written in any document the Princess herself did not burn, that the name was chosen with a different figure entirely in mind: one Coryanne Wylde, daughter of Lord Morgan Wylde of the Rain House, a woman whose name had survived the centuries not through any great deed of arms or statecraft, but through scandal. And as to Jaenara Belaerys, I'm unsure as to how you managed to receive such information as not a single record in the Citadel should have my name anywhere near hers. I made absolutely certain of that. Not that there would be anything to record, obviously, because I didn't know her. We were not acquainted. At all.

The Citadel has been spreading slander.

She was a dragonrider. Famous for flying Terrax into Sothoryos, which was—objectively, not that I was there—an absolutely demented decision that I would never have encouraged. If I had known her. Which I didn't.

She was stubborn. Catastrophically curious. The kind of person who heard 'no living man has mapped that coast' and heard a dare instead of a warning. Absolutely insufferable about it too.
