WIP for the W-I-F-E. 8) I revived this old drawing from like last year { cos I was so unhappy with it then. } I’M DOIN’ IT FOR YA WAIFU.
{OOC: This makes me so happy I remember when you first drew this for me and I wanted you to finish it. ;____; I CAN'T WAIT You even drew her in the outfit I prefer and I just elknrjiogkrjgi. I LOVE IT. I LOVE YOUUU!! }
Anyone know where I can find decent quality screenshots of XiaoQiao??
{ OOC: Is there a specific version of XiaoQiao you prefer or does it not matter? I probably won't be much help but usually I stalk youtube for HQ cutscenes and if you have the Chrome browser, there's an extension called frame by frame for Youtube which helps you get individual frames, it's sooo helpful! }
"Oh I’ve got no doubts! You’re strong, Daqiao!" He smiled warmly, placing his hand atop her head and gently stroking her hair. "But I don’t wanna force you to do somethin’ you don’t like doing, you know? What kind of husband would I be?"
Laughing to himself, a devious smirk came to his lips. “Good, I hope she’s bothering him and he can’t get anything done.” Wasn’t Sun Ce just the greatest best friend anyone could ask for?
Glancing down at his tiny wife, he stifled a laugh, shaking his head.
"Aww, come on. She’s harmless! I’m not that worried. And if she’s annoying Zhou Yu it’s like an added bonus! We’ll find her though… Oh yeah! I hear there’s gonna be a festival going on in the Kingdom, maybe we should drop in!" Short attention span much?
Staring up in surprise at his words, Daqiao felt a small childish smile appear followed by an immediate nod. If someone as strong as the Little Conqueror was saying such things, then it had to mean something and it sure did boost her confidence just a smidgen.
"Lord Sun Ce, I appreciate everything you've ever done for Xiaoqiao and myself. I sincerely do! I'll work my hardest to repay your kindness..." Words that had been needed to be said from the beginning, a genuine expression was given and for once she didn't shy away from his gentle pet.
"Belonging to the Kingdom of Wu is such a joy and privilege and we're both--Ah... I'm honored." Dropping her head into a bow, the smile on her face disappeared. Disapprovingly shaking her head, she really hoped that, that wasn't the case. Lord Zhou Yu had enough to deal with as it was and honestly, she felt sorry for him sometimes.
"Festival...? Is there really---Are you sure you want to I mean--..." Shaking her head and then contradictorily nodding it thereafter, she brought her hands up excitedly.
"I think that would be...Fun, my Lord!"
Blinking curiously as she stared at him silently, he tilted his head slightly. “My lady…?” He questioned quietly, before her soft words of gratitude came.
Laughing softly, he nodded gently. “I appreciate it, though I’m not entirely hungry myself, I’d be honored to join you. Did Lord Sun Ce give that money to you, my lady…?” Perhaps it was presumptuous of him to ask, but it wasn’t often that a Lady married to one of the Lords of Wu made money on their own.
Nodding in affirmation, he once again took off in the direction he had heard Xiaoqiao was located in — this time, walking instead as to avoid any nasty trips or slips. “My lady, your love and devotion to your little sister is most admirable. She is a very lucky girl.” He mused, though he knew full well Xiaoqiao didn’t like her sister worrying so much.
As his concerned words had reached her ears, the held concentration she had, broke and the once curious expression was replaced with an uncomfortable one. Lightly shaking her head from side to side, and forcing a reassuring smile, she motioned ahead with her eyes. "I-I'm sorry, um... We should get going." Having caught up her lost breath, she placed the silk purse carefully away, only bringing her attention back to the effeminate strategist once he questioned her coming to the money. Head tilting just slightly to the side as though confused, a light laugh was brought out as well as a small nod. In truth it was a bit disappointing to hear that he wasn't hungry and almost seemed to be an excuse of sorts but in understanding, she remained silent.
"Actually Lord Sun Ce insists upon buying me many things and giving me money but I don't..." As though second-guessing herself, her words abruptly ceased. Staring down at the floor beneath them, her mind seemed to be elsewhere as she did finally continue. "I don't want to take something without earning it... I know he's my husband but..." Sheepishly glancing back to Lu Xun and then to the path before them, she sighed. "I want to make my being around, not so much a burden. That's why I wish Xiaoqiao would be a good girl." Closing her eyes for a few moments and taking in a calm deep breath, she began forward once again; this time at a slower pace. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to go on... You know Lu Xun, I hear that you've had a lot of hardships in your life---I-If you ever wanted to talk I think it would be nice to be..Um.." Another hesitant pause. "Friends."

You would like a xiaoqiao to role play with, yes?
{ OOC: Hehe I'd love to have a little sister, yes! I wouldn't mind at all!~ }
Luckily his speed was a force to be reckoned with, he had conveniently managed to catch her before she had taken what might have been a nasty tumble.
Straightening her to her feet, he smiled warmly at her once more. “I won’t leave you, my Lady. We’ll find Lady Xiaoqiao together. I don’t think she’ll be going anywhere anytime soon.” Staring in slight surprise at her desperate concern, he gently placed a comforting hand over hers.
"She’s fine, just feeding some of the local wildlife. Your sister has a gift with animals, so I know she’s fine. Let’s find her, shall we? Then perhaps we can get some food ourselves. I’m sure you must be starving from all your worrying."
It was strange, although they had been in the same faction for such a long time---Daqiao couldn't really recall any times when they had honestly gotten the chance to truly exchange words. It was pleasant and Lu Xun was very kind, despite the rumors she had heard regarding his unstable state of mind. Curiously, light brown eyes scanned the face of the slightly tanned male, as though searching for something that wasn't there.
"Thank you..." She managed, blinking as she dusted herself off. Attention snapping back to Lu Xun quickly as the physical contact was made, another gentle nod was given.
"You're right, I shouldn't worry so much... Once we find her, I'll treat you both to something to eat." Pulling out a small, silk coin purse, a smile came onto her face as though recalling how she'd come upon the money within'.
"--A-Ah but first we have to find Xiaoqiao." That determination returned to her eyes once again as she looked towards the direction they had to go.
Before he had even gotten the chance to take her hand, she had quickly recoiled it. Watching in surprise— though he assumed that’s how it would go anyway— as she quickly rushed on ahead, he could only laugh and shake his head.
"According to the soldiers who spotted her, she—…She’s gone, why am I even talking?” Smiling softly, he chased after her with haste, managing to catch up to her with relative ease.
Not having occurred to her the fact that she was unprepared for anything bad that could happen, she continued to rush ahead, glancing over at Lu Xun only to make sure he'd been following. Rushing towards the direction he had indicated, she clumsily nearly tripped, which abruptly caused her to stop after a few minutes of hastily running. Holding out a pale hand as though telling him to wait for her, fearful of being left behind, she leaned over and panted softly.
"You said she was over that way right? Is she okay, do you know?" Her concern shone through as it always did whenever her younger sister was involved. It was a wonder how she wasn't graying yet.

"My Lady!" A warm smile graced the young commander’s features as he extended a hand out to the young wife of Sun Ce. "I’ve found you at last. I’ve heard that your sister has been sighted on the outskirts of the Palace with some rogue animals."
Nodding his head gently, he glanced over his shoulder. “Shall we go?”
"Master Lu Xun!" Greeting him in return with equal kindness, she hesitantly brought her hand out to gently take his, her eyes widening at the news he delivered. "Xiaoqiao she's--!!" Smile disappearing, she nodded quickly, not even giving herself the time to finish that sentence. Recanting her hand and hurriedly rushing off ahead, the worrisome expression was evident on her features as she did.
{ OOC: Making icons for a character who hardly has any scenes in-game is so HARD. All of the DW5 scenes online are grainy and bad quality and I just..Ugh. HowdidIdoitforSanniang?? }
"Ahh… Well now that I know you were just looking for Xiaoqiao, I don’t have to worry!" Glancing off to the side, he scratched at the back of his head nonchalantly. "I know how much you hate fighting, Daqiao, so it’s my job as your husband to keep you safe from that!" Smiling once more, he nodded again as though trying to put her guilt to rest.
"No Zhou Yu either, huh…?" Glancing up in thought, he gently took her hand and began off in the direction their beloved pet tigers were kept. "Where the heck could he be? It’s not like he has a life or anything.” He totally wasn’t one of the top commanders of Wu or anything.
"Ahh, don’t worry too much about it, Daqiao! People love Xiaoqiao! I doubt she could honestly cause anyone trouble.” Someone was obviously in denial.
"I've gotten a lot better in battle, I promise!" She cut in almost confidently, now staring up at him earnestly. Though fear was a large obstacle during these times, her desire to be able to fight for the things she wanted---to fight to not be a burden was great. While she couldn't boast about her abilities nor take pride in battles like he did, she still wanted to be able to do something of worth.
"Mm-mm..." Snapping her attention forward once they had begun to move, she sighed softly. Poor Zhou Yu.
"I'm sure if Xiaoqiao is with him, she's not letting him work peacefully. I feel sort of bad since I'm responsi--..." Silences herself, just staring in disbelief. Slowly an eyebrow went up as she took in a deep breath.
"Are we...Talking about the same Xiaoqiao, my Lord...?" Bringing her other hand up almost as though to stop herself from further speaking, she knew that her young sister meant no harm in her playfulness, it was just a bit hard to keep up with all the time.
"I must become even stronger!"
"I was worried that I lost you, — Xiaoqiao’s missing? Have you asked Zhou Yu?” Arching a brow, he crossed his arms. “Hm…”
Giving a confident smile, he nodded affirmatively before holding his hand out. “No worries! We’ll find her. Someone’s bound to have seen her around here somewhere! Maybe she’s spending time with the tigers?”
"Lost me...?" Gently tilting her head to the side, a small laugh escaped. Sun Ce, while an amazingly sweet man, seemed to constantly worry and she felt sort of bad for being the cause of that worry. "I've not seen Lord Zhou Yu either, admittedly... Maybe I was the one who was truly lost." Happily placing her hands in his and nodding, she glanced over her shoulder before sighing. "Sounds like something she'd do...I only hope she's not causing trouble for anyone."
