in the midst of some of the most important exams of my life and my collection of flashcards of varying quality are singlehandedly saving my grades
I don't know what teenage girl needs to hear this, but that older man in your dms on your coquette blog is intentionally trying to sexually abuse and sexually exploit you and many other teenage girls. You are not special to that man; he's making an effort to manipulate you and other girls your age because he thinks you're an easy, exploitable target. He wants to get your nudes, use you for his entertainment and abandon you for another underage girl who thinks the attention is fun at the time. There's a reason he has to go after young girls instead of women his own age; they know he's predatory and evil. That's a child predator. Block him and warn other young girls if you can
Every night you dream that you talk to a genie, when you wake up you can't remember what you wished for. One morning you wake up with a giant crab pincer replacing your right arm. What do you do?
I scream , "ahhh". There's a giant fucking pincer on me. Where did my arm go?? I thought
Until you have to take a full day break after showering,
Until you run a fever after walking for more than ten minutes,
Until you are bedridden after a party,
Until you wake up in the night writhing in pain night after night,
Until you have to have to watch yourself and your life fall apart because you're too ill to live your life,
Don't talk to me about pain.
Don't act like you know what my life is like.
Don't judge me for my choices.
I'm trying my best. I really am. Just leave me alone.
You know what? I’m tired of sickly and weak people being portrayed as starving and underweight. It’s the 21st century. The available food is all twisted and turned around compared to history. Rich people eat small fancy meals and poor people eat the unhealthy ones packed with all sorts of additives. The image of “sick and starving” is no longer a skinny person. Not in the west, at least.
What am I getting at? I just really want to remind people that many people who are sickly and weak are actually chubby or even overweight because… wait for it… they’re too sickly and weak to exercise!!! The image of chronically ill and dying people is so often someone skinny and starving, but so many of us aren’t skinny at all. In our current society, not being able to exercise means you *will* gain weight because that’s just what the easiest available food is going to do for you.
Chronic illness does not equal being skinny. At all.
“But sickly people can’t eat much, their stomachs are too weak to hold down their food. That’s where the skinny image of sick people comes from”. And you know what? This is completely true, as well. Sickly people who cannot hold down their food and lose weight as a result absolutely exist. Hell, when I first got truly sick and disabled for the first time, I lost 10 kilograms at rapid speed and I was already petite! But this was only at the beginning, then the chronic part set in.
There will be (many) sickly people who can’t hold down most foods, but *can* hold down certain other foods, and they will be chubbier. They will cling to the food they can eat, this food may gain them some pounds, and they will be too ill to exercise it off. Not only that, but if they started off not knowing what food they could eat, they may have lost weight at first, and then when they finally find something they can hold down their body will cling to that for dear life. So body clinging to food + inability to exercise = ill people get chub.
And that is the truth of that.
I’m writing this post because I want to create a character based on my own experiences becoming ill. And I keep feeling like I have to make her skinny to bring my point across and portray it correctly. But then I’d also be lying; I gained weight because I can barely move. But when I make the character heavy, suddenly my internalised image of “sickly character” gets all messed up. It’s fucked up. My own internalised fatphobia as well as the fatphobia of society as a whole is making it really difficult for me to decide on an accurate portrayal. Skinny portrayal feels like I’d be lying about my true self. Fat portrayal feels like I’d be lying about how ill she truly is. (=how ill I truly am. IRL.)
It’s fucked up!

seeing your mom happy is priceless
This is repulsive
never forget
I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to know that it’s not your fault you’re chronically ill.
People are constantly trying to tell you that you’re not trying hard enough, because you haven’t given exercise enough of a try, or you don’t drink enough water, or you don’t eat right, or you haven’t seen enough doctors or tried enough medications.
You have tried everything. You are still trying. But no matter how hard you try, it will never have been your fault. You are sick. Don’t forget that this is something that happened to you, not something you did wrong.

4 Thrillers On Hulu And 5 Thrillers On Netflix
This post was actually requested by an anon! They wanted some thrillers that had to do with love and obsession so obviously I had to deliver! Also, I don’t know if I’ve ever stated this, but I live in the United States so when I post it’s about what’s streaming here. I couldn’t find a 5th one for Hulu but I heard the film Acrimony was a good option on there if you want to check it out. ALSO ALSO, I have an Instagram it’s @sammysreelreviews and I would love for y’all to shoot me a follow! I’m still deciding on what to post next week but I will be posting something! Thanks anon for the request and thanks everyone else who reads this it means the world! Enjoy!
Hulu
1. Down (2019)
Two strangers get stuck on an elevator on Valentine’s Day and things get interesting. This is actually an episode from Hulu’s original anthology series Into the Dark but it’s the same time as a movie so it’s going to count! Down also happens to be my favorite episode from the series so I hope y’all love it as much as I do!
2. Ingrid Goes West (2017)
Ingrid (Aubrey Plaza) is a stalker who moves to LA to emulate the life of her favorite social media influencer Taylor Sloane (Elizabeth Olsen) but things get out of hand when Ingrid ends up befriending Taylor in real life. This movie really shines a light on how toxic social media can be and I also love Elizabeth Olsen’s performance in this.
3. A Simple Favor (2018)
Stephanie (Anna Kendrick) is a mommy vlogger who befriends the school’s coolest mom Emily (Blake Lively). One day Emily asks Stephanie for a simple favor and ends up disappearing and no one can predict the events that follow. This movie is surprisingly funny and if you aren’t satisfied with the ending, I highly recommend you read the book.
4. Basic Instinct (1992)
This is obviously a classic film Michael Douglas plays a police detective who investigates a murder where a dangerous seductress is the prime suspect. I mean we all know how this one goes and I still want Sharon Stone’s white dress.
Netflix
1. Heartthrob (2017)
Henry (Keir Gilchrist) falls for and successfully captures the heart of the popular Samantha Maddox (Aubrey Peeples) but the relationship unexpectedly goes off the rails. This movie is absolutely wild and I’m surprised more people haven’t seen it. Keir Gilchrist, who’s on Netlix’s own Atypical, is amazing as always like seriously why hasn’t he won an Emmy yet!?
2. Bad Match (2017)
Bad Match will make you think twice about swiping right. Harris (Jack Cutmore-Scott) matches with the alluring Riley (Lili Simmons) and gets way more than he bargains for. I’m going to leave it at that because I really don’t wanna ruin anything.
3. You Get Me (2017)
Tyler (Taylor John Smith) has a one night stand with a sexy stranger (Bella Throne) and his whole life gets turned upside down. This is actually a Netflix original I was eager to watch cause I love Bella Throne and its batshit. Just watch to see what I mean.
4. Vincent N Roxxy (2016)
Vincent (Emile Hirsch) happens to see Roxxy (Zoe Kravitz) being harassed and decides to come to her rescue. Once they’re acquainted they eventually fall in love but everything begins to fall apart when their pasts come back to haunt them. I’m a sucker for a gritty indie film and I’m obsessed with Emile and Zoe so obviously I had to watch this. This movie is great but it’s also very violent towards the end just so you know.
5. The Invitation (2015)
Will (Logan Marshall-Green) gets invited to his ex wife’s house for a dinner party and reluctantly goes. As tensions arise and the past is brought up Will gets suspicious. Ok so technically this is a horror film but its a slow burn and the ending will hit you right in the fucking kisser. It’s one of the best horror films I’ve ever seen.
