Healthy Snacks for Hedgehogs
No one likes eating the same thing again and again and neither does your hedgehog. Just keep in mind that treats should not exceed 10% of your hedgehog’s daily food. They are not nutritionally balanced enough to replace your hedgehog’s diet.
Cooked Meats (Chicken, Turkey, Beef, Lamb, Pork)
Hard Boiled Eggs
Strawberries
Bananas
Pears
Apples
Blueberries
Raspberries
Watermelon (a well known favorite among hedgehogs)
Cantaloupe
Honeydew Melon
Peaches
Cooked Asparagus

Tiny pancakes for tiny hedgehogs
Since hedgehogs are lactose intolerant they cannot have regular pancakes. But there’s another way to make pancakes for your quilled friend!
You will need:
one banana
two eggs
olive oil
optional: other hedgehog safe treats like dried insects or fruit
One banana will give you quite a lot of pancakes, so you might want to use half a banana and one egg if you didn’t plan on eating some yourself.
Making the pancakes is really easy. Mash the banana with a fork (try to get it as mushy as possible) and add the eggs. Mix it well. If your batter is looking a bit too thick, add some water. Heat up a bit of oil in your frying pan and add a spoonful of batter. Flip the pancake a couple of times till it’s done. Let the pancakes cool for a bit (or put them in the fridge) and they’re ready for your hedgehog! You can also add other fruit, dried insects or meat to your batter (as long as it’s safe for hedgehogs of course!) or sprinkle it on top of the pancakes while you’re making them.
For humans: this recipe is originally for humans so you can put some pancakes aside for yourself if you want (they are very tasty! I personally don’t like banana at all, but this is the only way I’ll eat it. They really taste like sweet pancakes). I like to add a bit of cinnamon, apple and/or pear to them for the final touch. If you want more of a “filler” you can also add some oats. Enjoy!

“it’s supposed to be kind of a death acceptance/positivity message!
when things get really tough for me, i find comfort in the image of my body decaying (a little macabre, haha) – someday me and my problems will merely be bones and dirt!
so the ‘you made it!’ is like, you did it! you lived your life, and you are now free to rest!”
Not the best pictures in the world, but I finished a design by @shitpostsampler (Had to modify it for a round frame but hey)
Two more cross stitches I finished a while ago.
I shamelessly stole the top quote, and roses, from some long lost Tumblr posts. If you don’t know the second quote how are you on this website…
Also you can’t really tell but the “worse” is done out of a shiny, expensive thread which was. In fact. The worst thing to work with. And it looks kinda terrible. In other words it’s perfect…
These are a few of my favorite things〜♪
Just a journal page I did a couple of days ago. Letting myself water color on pages makes journaling more appealing on days I’d rather lay near my window and stare at my plants and also probably stare at my phone.
Kind of tired from picnics and cat petting but I took the opportunity to make myself a lil cactus pin cushion! I shall call him cactwe
