Clark Gable (1901-1960) and Burt Lancaster (1913-1994) during the filming of "Run Silent, Run Deep". The photo was taken in 1958 on the set of a movie. The actors often ate with the sailors during the production of the film.

Run Silent, Run Deep is a American black-and-white war film, was released in 1958.

The submarine USS Redfish was used in many scenes of this film. Previously, this submarine portrayed the Nautilus in the Walt Disney film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954) and appeared several times in the television series Silent Service . She was decommissioned in 1969.
