The Qur’aan Descended From Up High
Ibn al-Qayyim [رحمه الله] said:
❝There is a clear distinction that Allaah sent down the Qur’aan from Himself. As in His saying:
«The revelation of the Book [this Qur’aan] is from Allaah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.» [Surat Al-Jathiya: 2]
«sent down by the All-Wise, Worthy of all praise [Allaah].» [Surat Fussilat: 42]
«Say Ruh-ul-Qudus [Jibrael] has brought it [the Qur’aan] down from your Lord with truth» [Surat An-Nahl: 102]
This indicates to two matters: that the Qur’aan is clearly from Allaah and no one else. That Allaah is the One who Spoke it and no one else.
Secondly: That Allaah is high above His creation, that the trustworthy Ruh [Jibreel] descended with the Qur’aan from Allaah from a high place to His Messenger.❞
