So we’ve established that DC fans aren’t reading DC comics and are just living in their own fan canon, so reblog with one piece of your personal canon that you believe in with your whole heart.
Every member of the BatFam has lived at the Mansion at some point. And while it’s not like, legally official, on patrol, they all call each other by sibling honorifics or whatever it’s called. So like, Red Hood comes flying in when a bunch of people are beating up on Signal or Carrie Kelley and screams about ‘STOP MURDERING MY SISTER THAT MY JOB’ and the entirety of Gotham is just like... wtf is is this family. And also, the entire Clan is basically Gotham’s pastime. There’s like a news segment on them, daily, that just like:
NEWS ANCHOR: And welcome to our most popular segment; the Clan! Where we take a look at the latest news related to the Gotham vigilantes!
[Intro plays, showing a few clips of the Bat Clan in quick succession; Red Hood loading a gun, Nightwing flipping away from an attack, Spoiler getting a boost from Black Bat and drop kicking Mr. Freeze in the face, ect.]
[Screen cuts to a shaky recording of Signal and Batgirl IV (Duke and Carrie) beating up a group of thugs or something and on the fire escape above them, Nightwing II and Red Robin (Stephanie and Tim) are watching, calling out scores and advice.]
NEW ANCHOR: (v.o.) The latest Batgirl, who, by our count, is Number Four, and Signal, have been making their mark on the northern parts of the city. In the Clan’s usual fashion, the two have been shadowed by rotating members of their family, namely the second Nightwing and Red Robin.
And they like, break down fights and slow them down, narrating each move, telling the audience where it’s from, how hard it is to pull off, and generally just being like a game show. And there’s also about twenty documentaries, one for each member of the clan, as:
RED HOOD: UNDER THE MASK They investigate the disappearance of Robin II (it’s well-known that’s who Red Hood is, as the Clan yells a lot) and how he came back as Red Hood; how he attacked Robin III/Red Robin, and all sorts.
SPOILER ALERT It’s more of a comedy than anything. Orphan makes an appearance in at least 80% of it, and a good chunk of the footage is people walking right up to Spoiler and just asking her stuff, and she answers, while Orphan gets board and starts sparring with the air behind her.
BATGIRLS It starts with Batgirl I, outlining her rise and how the second Batgirl came to take her place, before the third, who’s known to be Spoiler, appeared, and then the fourth. It points out how they’re different from the Robins, and there’s always a Robin, Batman, and Batgirl.
ROBINS: RISE AND FALL Basically the same as BATGIRLS, but for the Robins.
And yeah. Feel free to write this as a fanfiction if you want, I might at some point. But that’s my brain.
