So I have this AKK (top) / AYAN (bottom) idea:
"Akk is a virgin and finally works up the courage to be intimate with Ayan. The moment they're together, all Akk can think about is how good it feels, and he ends up blurting out a breathless "thank you" to his boyfriend.
Ayan just lets out a soft laugh and replies, "You're welcome, sweetheart," as he holds him close..."
I really hope someone adopts this idea. It would make me so happy. šš»
NOT ME premiered in 2021, and for some reason I canāt really remember now, I didnāt watch it back then. In a way, Iām actually grateful for that. At the time I was 16, and I donāt think I wouldāve been able to fully understand it or give it the importance it truly deserves.
Now, at 20 years old (yes, this is my first time watching it), I can honestly say that Not Me goes far beyond being a BL. Itās powerful, impressive, and it made me reflect on many sociopolitical issues. Even though Iām not a citizen of Thailand, the reality the series portrays exists in many countries, and Not Me addressed it in a way that places it, without a doubt, among the best series Iāve ever watched in my life.
Not to mention the cast, who did an incredible job. I love OffGun, and thatās actually why I started Not Me in the first placeāI hadnāt watched one of their series in a long time. But truly, those 14 episodes made me fall in love with cinematography all over again.
Maybe Iām rambling or overanalyzing what some might call ājust a series,ā but I strongly believe that every show, movie, or book we consume is meant to leave us with a message or a lesson as people. And Not Me was incredibly clear about its message.
