When Trudeau or anyone talks about the super rich 1% and then tart the bracket at $200K+...I feel like there's a bracket missing because 200K is not super rich it's average, modest almost. Super rich should start at $1mil +... My father makes 200K and honestly he is not the famous 1%, we are not millionaires. I hate that my taxes will go up when we are already being taxed like hell by the Quebec gov.

Today as I was shooting a Fall Look Book a woman stopped on the street and asked what I was doing. I told her I ran a modest fashion blog and this was her reaction. Three years ago this would have upset me deeply, but subhanAllah Allah granted me sabr. I kept my cool and replied that I’m a normal person just like her, and she walked away. The ignorance in America is insane these days, and it’s our job as young Muslims to educate people not just through dawah but also through our example, by the way we carry and conduct ourselves. May Allah swt keep us safe and grant us the patience to help educate others, ameen. P.s today actually made me feel even more proud to be a hijabi, alhamdulillah, I’m so grateful to be a Muslim. (Yes my mother is Moroccan) #americanhijabi #muslimamerican
