azumifmd:
the silence filtered through the air between them, and azumi knew that she had put the other woman off. she could practically feel the awkward tension, and she sighed, turning her head so she could look at the slowly setting sun. she regretted her aggressive and abrasive answer, she knew that it couldâve been handled in a much better way, but she couldnât help it. she wasnât perfect, nobody was. she got angry and moody sometimes, and during those times she tended to lose her temper just a little bit. it was harder to control when she was in public, because she had been trained and molded to always smile in public, to keep up the image of aria. the hardest part of being an idol is keeping up the image, or at least it is for her. âit wasnât, but that doesnât mean that i had to snap at you like that. you were only trying to do something out of the kindness of your heart. iâm sorry for responding like that.â she offered her a kind smile. âthank you, but no. i donât really think talking is going to help.â
it was difficult for jiyeon to decipher whether or not azumiâs suddenly affable demeanor was a facade or not, but she wasnât about to offend the woman further and inquire about it. she didnât necessarily want to know the answer, either, especially if it was the former. for a second, her expression was confused before she remembered her manners. jiyeon provided a smile of her own â no teeth. she was not completely accustomed to forcing smiles, because before becoming an idol, she never had to. every time she smiled, it was genuine, and there was a certain gleam in her eyes. slowly, but surely, those smiles were becoming a rarity and that light was dimming. she was not about to think of that terrifying reality in front of the fellow idol. she wondered if the bathrooms were still occupied. she felt the need to escape, and made her muse if smokers felt the same. if that was the case, what was her father running away from? could she dare ask azumi why? it was definitely a risk, but she figured she cared more about closure than a strangerâs feelings, self-serving as it was. âmay i ask you some questions? just from an objective standpoint, nothing personal.â
