Aidynn & Blue’s “Full House” peaks at 59 on weekly Gaon Chart

No one was expecting the release of Full House. Neither Blue from Knight and Aidynn from CHARM released any announcements on social media or discussed the music beforehand; therefore, fans and netizens were completely taken back when the digital release was suggested to watch online. What was especially interesting for everyone was that the two have a collaboration name, and many are wondering whether that is indication that the boys will release another song together as a unit apart from their respective groups.

Blue has released a song just a month before, thus the fans were aware of his personal style. This was Aidynn’s first release apart from CHARM, and everyone was pleasantly surprised with his rapping style. While some were surprised these two decided to work together, others fans were on the contrary, for the males have mentioned that the two were raised in the same neighborhood; therefore, they are childhood friends. A handful found that endearing to know that their favorite rappers have been friends for years, close enough to release a song together.

Both the males have claims of writing the track, which made people look into the lyrics to investigate furthermore what they were trying to say. Already before did Blue release a song that spoke against the hate that idols often receive in the industry, so seeing and understanding the lyrics to Full House was, once again, no surprise. Talking about youth and living in the moment, people can only assume he talks about his former scandal. The song comments that they are only guys, and they should go out and have fun.

Despite the mixed feelings the fans share across social media, the song does well and holds a spot on the Gaon Digital Chart. Full House sat at #59 during the week of the its release.

   ONLY BEING familiar with minwoo due to his close connection within the group. it wasn’t like the two didn’t speak, it was just never an important conversation that would create some kind of friendship. although, he wanted to try, to have a popular senior on his side for when he might need him in the future. it was a bad way of thinking, he knew that perfectly. his mother always said that connections were important in this harsh industry, to keep those close because you’ll never know when they could be useful. such things were drilled into his mind since he entered the family, now he can’t turn off this disgusting mindset; did this make him a shitty person? the thought disappeared from his mind, spacing out was no good. “i honestly have no idea why i’m over here. i’ve been walking for about an hour, thinking about life.” with hands stuffed inside his leather jacket, he kept his gaze on the road ahead of them, feet occasionally kicking at a small pebble. “you’re out a little late yourself, why if you don’t mind me asking.”

      CONNECTIONS ARE PIVOTAL in an industry as competitive as theirs. with connections, fame is accomplished furthermore, and recognition, therefore, follows. with more recognition, more work is available, especially with brands in search of models and ambassadors. it’s something minwoo learned early on within the industry, when he was new to the whole experience; however, now as a senior idol in a group highly recognized around the world, he was the one that newer additions to the industry wanted to meet. often, he was cautious, but minwoo is an open person always eager to meet people. a bright smile and warm persona. that’s how he would like to be treated; therefore, he treats everyone as so. examining the younger male, he nods and smiles. he, too, often walks about getting lost, unaware of why they walked so far to begin with. “i just needed to get some fresh air. i live in the neighborhood as well, so it’s not too bad. since we are both out so late, would you want to join me for a late snack? maybe somewhere less popular since we need to be careful with the public.”

max eyed the water bottles placed on the floor. the older male was right; max should just be grateful for the spicy chicken feet. “pft, fine. thanks, hyung.” he was fortunate enough to have his hyungs looking after him. drinking soju at this hour would not be a good idea either as their manager could find them and then smell the alcohol on their breaths. taking out the to-go box from the plastic bag, max immediately started eating. max wasn’t sure if it was because of his long nap, but spicy chicken feet tasted better than he remembered it. his eyes turned toward minwoo. “hyung, you’re not eating any? you should eat too.” the younger male was kind of embarrassed that he was the only one eating. max was fully aware that in korean culture, it was rude to eat before your elders. “i guess i always try to practice when i can. does that count as working hard?” max scratched the back of his neck. dancing came to max naturally, but natural talent was not what dimensions wanted. they wanted perfection.

      HE WAS AWARE of how strict dimensions can be as a company toward their groups. a number of his friends are under the company, and often he is to listen to the tales they share of the strict conducts enforced. bc was not easy on KNIGHT, especially not after the many scandals that has occurred. he also knows the company is strict on CHARM, wanting the group to be perfect in order to not repeat the same mistakes his own group committed. in general, minwoo has come to the realization that all companies are strict with their groups. after all, they have spent a lot of money hoping the group will become successful in order to get their money back. they needed every idol to be perfect. watching the younger male eat his food, he shook his head, waving a hand. “i already ate with a friend. don’t worry about me, buddy. eat your food,” he leans to reach for a water bottle and drink. “i know we all have the obligation to be perfect, but just remember you need to rest as well. don’t be too hard on yourself. UNITY is doing an amazing job, so i don’t think you have a lot to worry about.”

      IT SEEMED a bit too late for a young male like seung to be out walking around. he was allowed to do so though, he needed this mini break as he pondered on life and how fast things were moving for him. things were so overwhelming if he didn’t take this time to himself, he couldn’t afford to crack and shatter in front of his members and management. he needed the rest, needed the space to breathe sometimes, he needed things to go his way so nothing bad ever happened. it was like seung hated being out of control of his life, learning that sometimes the idol world would be just as crazy but he was willing to continue living this life for as long as he can. the singer was still young, only turning twenty-one a few months ago. unlike most of his members, he had time to figure out where he wanted to go after origin and where to take these extra steps. things were going to be ok for this young man, that’s what he wants to believe. seung wasn’t sure where he was walking too but he wasn’t expecting to run into another idol, especially not a knight member. “minwoo!” he called out, jogging slightly so he could catch up and walk at the same pace as his senior. “it’s me, seung, how are you?’ the smile was now switched on, tired eyes looking at minwoo. / @fmdxblue

      IT WAS LATE. another night in which the rapper could not slumber early, having been stuck in the office late in order to discuss logistics. minwoo, though, powered through, having learned the tricks in order to combat the tiredness that often plagues the idols within the industry. he took a taxi back home, which was a bold home, but he knew driving at such hour would not be safe, and taking the bus would not be a good idea either. he couldn’t be caught at such hour. walking along the streets, he was surprised when someone hollered his name. still, he glanced over thinking it was a fan, but to his surprise it was just another idol. one of the younger members of ORIGIN. “hey, buddy,” he greets, a slight nod his direction. he did not know the other all to well, only seeing him occasionally due to the rapper knowing two members in the group fairly well. “i’m fine, just a bit tired. they kept me working till late, but where’s the surprise?” he forced a chuckle before eyes glanced back to the smaller male. “what are you doing out at such hour? especially over here?”

“ah, hyung. stop!” usually max played along with minwoo’s jokes, but the younger male was feeling a little cranky as he just woke up. the younger male perked up at the mention of food. “huh? food?” he eyed the plastic bag in minwoo’s hand. “you brought spicy chicken feet?” normally, their manager wouldn’t allow the boys to eat spicy chicken feet at night, but they would be okay as long as they did not get caught. max clutched his stomach as he realized that it has been awhile since he had a snack. “did you bring soju too?” it has not been long since max started drinking, but he was already a seasoned drinker. however, it probably was not a good idea to drink soju in the company building. “i mean… did you bring soda?”  

      WHEN HE ORIGINALLY MET THE OTHER MALE, he was younger and someone minwoo did not spend too much time with considering the age gap and difference of lifestyle. minwoo was much wilder beforehand, attending to nightlife culture on a regular, and when he could not go out, he was in the dorm drinking more than he probably should. however, just as max turned an age he was able to drink, minwoo shifted his focus and no longer drinks as much. that’s why he did not bring any soju. “yes, believe it or not, i did bring you food. you have to eat and not get so skinny, yeah? your fans don’t want to see you get sick.” he doubts that will be a concern with max, but he still worries about everyone in the industry. “i brought you water, silly. i already brought you one thing you shouldn’t have at this hour, so be more appreciative.” he chuckles in tease, placing the meal in front of the other, then taking out bottles of water. “have you been working hard?”

“i am actually very proud of both duri ( @durifmd ) and namwoo ( @fmdnamwoo ). for duri, he has just done so well with his solo career. for namwoo, i’m proud of how well he has done despite having been thrusted into the industry at such a young age. he has done very well, and i’m proud of our maknae. with a misconception, well i think people believe i give up too easily and run off to problems. that’s not true at all.”

“i hope that in ten years i can love myself more. i know that sounds so depressing and cheesy, but i mean … it’s truly something i wish for myself. besides that, though, i also hope to have a more stable solo career. maybe even have a clothing line and more in line with fashion? that would be a dream come true … to have a fashion line. i would also like to walk a runway even though i’m considered short for a guy. as for the scandals, i can’t resent them for it because i got into major shit as well. sometimes we can’t help it. it’s all on media, so i don’t blame my group members.”
