“i’d be a doctor if i weren’t an idol. sometimes i do regret not going to med school, because i would like to help people above all, but i think the path i’m on is a good one, too. with it, i can maybe help other idols when i retire and, hopefully, obtain a therapy license. some of this shit is hard to cope with, so i’d like to be able to help where i can.”

“honesty. willingness to tell me i’m wrong when i am, provide a perspective i myself can’t see for whatever reason. loyalty, too. god only knows i’m a fuckin’ idiot at times, my closest friends are the ones who are not only aware, but can make sure i’m aware, too.”

when? april 12th 2019 where? dimensions entertainment hq, recording studio 7 ( seoul, sk ) with who? @fmdjihae warnings? thread for claims verification of ahreum’s solo release track, home alone ( ft. jihae of unity ).

he was always happy to deal with anyone of the unity kids ━considering he saw them grow up from trainees to the success the multilayered group was enjoying so far, it wasn’t surprising to see someone as empathetic and emotional such as him feeling the pride of an older brother looking at the youngers’ achievements, helping them here and there like he always thought a good sunbae and a good friend should do. and he was happy to see jihae stepping forth when he asked for someone to sing in one of his solo album’s songs ━inviting the younger to the studio he’s been occupying at the dimensions hq whenever he didn’t feel like working in his new apartment’s studio, spinning a touch on his chair while waiting for the other to enter.

“ so, i’ve got a draft for the lyrics, you can take a look and then we can decide a sound to match it. sometimes the lyrics. speak to me on the melody, but sometimes a lil help has to come by listening to beats or throwing stuff together. ” he said, beaming a smile at the younger. “ i want you to put those hands in the track too so tell me, what’s your forte? lyrics? general producing? ”

Minzy was relatively familiar with Jihae, being from the same company. He was a good vocalist, and her age besides. Her thoughts on him leaned positive, so it didn’t particularly bother her when they ended up on the same hike together. Managers and security aside, she was actually having a nice time. 

Glancing at the ground she paused, noting a particularly neat-looking mushroom. “Whoa. Look at this!” She knew better than to touch random unidentified mushrooms but this thing was neat - it seemed almost to be draped with netting. “Don’t touch it though - it could be toxic.”

 her brother is grown and kyunghwa is never going to pretend otherwise but it doesn’t mean she doesn’t enjoy tucking him to bed like she did when they were younger. sure, it’s not the same. yul is not a child and she doesn’t need to read him bedtime stories to get him to nap, though after their busy, tiring day outside, kyunghwa does sit next to him in bed running her fingers through his hair until the boy falls asleep. it comes naturally for her to do that ever since the woman had taken upon herself to act like the mother her brothers hadn’t been given. once he’s out, kyunghwa tiptoes out of the room, shutting the door behind her silently and turning around to find one of the charm boys by this exact room. “ hi kid, ” she smiles at jihae. “ did you come here for yul? cause the baby is out for the afternoon, the scuba diving and sky diving sequence tired him out a bit. ” ( @fmdjihae )

four years into her debut, and suji still had a difficult time getting used to end of the year shows. there was just too much going on at once, and her heart ended up racing a bit faster than usual. it wasn’t even nerves. she was not the type to get nervous. it really was just the fact that there was a lot to do in one day and no proper time nor location to rest up in between. the waiting rooms were not good enough places for naps, and she was practically forbidden from leaving the place just in case. it just felt like she was stuck. 

she couldn’t focus enough to realize who was even performing, and she knows that there are so many eyes and cameras watching her every move. her hands clap along to the beat, and there is a smile on her face, but it doesn’t reach her eyes like they should, and that’s when she knows. giving a look to her members, she knows that they’ll understand. hoping that nobody suspects anything, she sneaks from the sitting area and goes backstage, dropping into any seat she finds first and taking a deep breath. the dizziness was back, and all she wanted was to go to sleep or just rest.

1. what is your goal for this year/next year?

the question was a change from the last twenty he’d been asked, which were all different shades of thinly-veiled fanservice requests. “i don’t know if i’m allowed to say. it might be giving too much away,” he teased the fan as he signed his signature across his chest in the photo book. “but i want to release more music for everyone to listen to. that’s the biggest one!”

25.what is the first thing you think of when someone mentions your fans?

there isn’t anything good that comes to mind. it’s bad memories of sasaengs and overstepped boundaries and entitlement and worries about only being liked for being someone he’s not. clearly, that’s not an acceptable answer. the question is a blatant dig for praise and it’s his job to give it. “when i think of armor, i think of protection. that’s armor’s job, right?” fans feel more like the sword than the shield in actuality, but he’s mastered false but pretty words in his eight years as an idol.

30. what is a hobby you’d like to pick up?

 “my dad is really good at chess, but i’m only an amateur at it. is chess a hobby? i don’t know that i have the patience to get better at it, though. calligraphy is the same, and i’m not very good with visual arts. i can do something that doesn’t require as much thought, like… stamp collecting.” he laughs, but he’s sure he’s pissed off some passionate stamp collectors somewhere.

what song would you want to sing to or play for someone you like?

“there’s a b-side on my mini-album i think works for moments like this. it’s the fifth track. i’m not in love with you, have you heard it? the title sounds contradictory but it’s about a crush and falling for someone. it’s like, cutely denying it while also admitting it at the same time.”

if you spent one day with a fan, where would you go and what would you do?

“oh, um, we could go to a café that i like and have tea together. they have a space for you to play music in there, so maybe we could play music together. i can show them my new guitar skills, though i’m not overly good yet. it doesn’t matter what gender the fan is, it would just be nice to make a new friend!”

which girl group do you like the most recently?

“7rophy! ha, i’m just kidding. bee and aria are the girl groups i like the most. bee is my childhood favourite. nowadays, aria’s music is closest to my style. i really like their latest comeback, but i also like that more mature sound that they tried out a while back.”

what soloist do you like the most recently? 

“myself. i listen to my own solo music a lot, i find it very calming. aside from myself, i really like fuse’s suji’s solo music, and gal.actic’s kami’s solo stuff. i find that i gravitate towards female soloists and groups a lot more than i do males. i think i can relate more easily to them.”
