This is a brilliant example of combining the idea of a moving picture at ( 3:45 ) with a chain reaction. From looking at different kinds of zoetropes, I love this idea of a 2D form creating movement, as though it was alive. By using a bike and turning the pedal to spin the wheel, this would create the illusion of a moving picture (in theory) when a sequence is applied to the spokes. I wanted my animation to be a 2D image of a man walking, as it has been a symbolic meaning throughout my work, to be a hint of a figure and looking at the anatomy of a human moving as well.
This would then be reflected into a 3D form of a man walking on a turn table, with light cast behind him and a silhouette of a city. This is suppose to be a hint of what man has made through history and a little nudge as to what man is currently doing, i.e global warming, population growth, pollution. I see this has something we cant avoid, and is a negative impact on to earth, and what I've learnt from nature itself is that there is a balance. Consequently destroying Earth, would result to an outrageous reaction, and what better way of symbolizing this reaction, then having an apocalypse! As a way of sorting chaos into order.
