I would like my pictures to look as if a human being had passed between them, like a snail, leaving a trail of the human presence and memory trace of past events as the snail leaves slime.'

All photographs are 'memento mori'. To take a photograph is to participate in another persons (or things) mortality, vulnerability, mutability.'

Photographs are only of interests to me as records. Of course some photographers are artists, but I'm not particularly interested in that aspect of photography.

This is a quick diagram of the proposed ideas I’m experimenting with for the display of my work at the MDX Final year show.
My space is in the MA studio. Its a large corner with a skylight.
On the left hand side I would like my landscape prints of the larger 20 year old male to be display in a group of four in vertical line, like a film strip. These are all grey and white prints. The order of these prints are in a form of softest marks and more body shown at the very top and as you view them further towards the floor the less distinctive the body becomes and the more aggressive the mark making is.
On the right spread over the two walls which create the corner I have picked a final 8 prints, which display a mixture of colour, black and white (8 complete final prints have been chosen and 4 extras are waiting just in case.) They all also display a similar style of printing using a palette knife or squeegee to follow the shapes of the body creating almost a unique drawing style through silk-screen printing.
The order of the horizontal line is one I created to allow no colour or simular body shape or pose to be near another. The order is as follows:
Orange Michelle, Medium Blue Mother, Grey Mother, Purple less marks Daria, Dark Blue Daria, Black boobs Mother, Green Michelle, Purple less body Daria.
The order of the colourful horizontal prints.
Order of the vertical prints of large 20 year old male.
Experimenting with display orders.
Experimentation using fingers on silk screen.
