KYLE  ALMOST  KILLED  HER.  had  the  police  not  come  when  they  had  -  alerted  by  juniper’s  mother,  practically  hysterical  to  find  her  daughter  not  in  her  bed  -  she  would  have  died.  an  important  thing  to  note   :   juniper  would  have  let  him  kill  her.  she’d  had  her  best  friend  and  her  sister  die  within  less  than  twenty-four  hours  of  each  other,  and  blamed  herself  for  both  of  their  deaths.  really,  she  thought  that  she  deserved  it.  (   he  was  choking  her,  and  she  wasn’t  fighting  back   :   if  the  police  hadn’t  found  them  and  shot  him,  she  would  have  died  very  quickly   )
