she attends to her pets’ needs quickly, and after double-checking her apartment for anything she may have accidentally left on, she snags the waiting bag of m&ms on the counter and, fuzzy slippers and all, makes her way over to jaebum’s apartment, cheeks flushing with excitement and the grin on her face nearly stretching to her ears. she knocks twice, smartly, and calls out jaebum’s name. “open the door! i’m wearing slippers and my pajamas and it’s cold and i want to wrap myself in your warm blanket. hurry up!”

The swift return of his messages caught him off guard; he'd half expected her to have become so wrapped up in one thing or another and the memory of their weekly get together to have vanished from her mind entirely. Whipping the phone around from its flattened position at his leg rolls the very corners of his lips into an obviously pleased grin and with a bit of spirit he pops off the couch in search of his feline that had probably slunk off to the depths of his room.

As he suspected, Nora had buried herself into a pair of his dirty denims but he didn't have the heart to retrieve the slender animal from her resting place to greet the familiar female upon her arrival; instead he bustled for the door, excitement still plastered to his lips as the door rattled with her announcement and a laugh slid past lightly parted lips at her calling.

"Yah yah." He cooed in response, breaking into such a wide smile that it nearly pushed his lids to one another to obscure his vision entirely as he brought the door inward to allow her entrance , " It is your own fault for dressing so lightly. Get your cozy self in here!" With a hand he ushered her inside, beaming at half strength as he slid the door home once more, "I wasn't lying about the popcorn but you did bring the sweets this time, right? Oh! And I picked a romantic comedy for tonight, per your request. Come, come. "

Patience was never Jaebum's strong suit; to put it more aptly, Impatience was his strongest quality, especially on days like today where he had plans with someone he enjoyed spending time with, like Hara. Ruffling a hand back through his overgrown black locks, Jaebum perched himself against the armrest of his couch, one foot swaying childishly while the other lengthy limb planted itself against the cushy carpet beneath his bare toes; phone in hand and eyes fixed to the screen as he impatiently awaited the return of her message.
