27 million people in the US work in retail or service. Most of these jobs require hours of standing, because employers know that an upright posture is friendly and engaging. But standing all day hurts.

California’s Supreme Court recently ruled that all workers must be provided seating if the seat does not interfere with standing tasks. That covers most retail and service jobs. Leaning seats are a sleek alternative to chairs, enabling workers to stay upright and comfortable.
