It almost feels antithetical to this blog to post about “recovery”, but it’s a part of my experience just as much as everything else, I guess.

Made some cucumber water for us to drink when we’re on our breaks. The weather’s finally getting warmer, we work a really physical job, and we’re on two different meds that take a toll on our temperature regulation. I’ve been sweating buckets. Anyway, it’s good. I’ve been thinking of adding some lime or something as well.

I want to get my tattoo. “I AM ALIVE” in a block font, an inch and a half tall on my left forearm. I had the thought of a red lightning strike down my forearm from my ring finger, too, because of the “direct connection to the heart” thing. “Still alive, but branded” is a line from Moby Dick that I resonate with.
