Andrew wears a throat cover over his mating mark & keeps it covered even while out at Eden's.
In general I think he has complicated feelings on presenting the way many of his abusers predict he would growing up. He lands on frankly it being no one's fucking business end of story.
Many people assume he's an Alpha or a Beta upon meeting him. Only the Monsters know his designation and know it is a quick trip to the end of a knife if they talk about it.
Publicly his designation is a secret that Wymack refuses to give to the ERC arguing it should not matter. This was a caveat of Andrew becoming a Fox along with the promise he will never be forced off his suppressants.
Smoking helps dull his sense of smell. He hates 99% of most scents and is the first to get on someone for stinking.
His scent 99.9% of the time is the chemical thick nothing of neutralizer mixed with tobacco
He doesn't like his own scent. He despises the idea of someone "smelling him" and knowing something about him.
He takes his suppressants but in the rare case he does have a heat (missing a dose, health, etc) he will drink & numb himself through it in a locked room at Bee's with a knife in his hand.
No one is allowed near him during his heats including Bee. He will leave when he chooses too.
Kevin
Kevin's designation was a secret in the Nest (Ī² officially) out of Riko's insecurity of his own designation (Ī²) and Kevin has been on suppressants his whole life.
The first time they smelled each other was Kevin @ the banquet and Jean when he left the Nest shortly before he left for USC and the suppressants worked their way out of his body.
Abby has managed to convince Kevin to go off of his suppressants for health reasons and he struggles with irregular / uncomfortable ruts. He views it as a frank reality of placing Exy above everything else and would go back on them if Abby didn't have health concerns.
During ruts he is mostly comfort & safety seeking vs sexual and ends up being weirdly docile. He makes something akin to a den and watches Exy and yaps and goes silent and maybe then jerks off twice before napping again.
That said during his pre-rut the bitch turns up to a 90 and the Foxes start knowing he's about to have a rut before he does. sHis insomnia also gets a lot worse and he can go days without sleeping before huge crash -> rut.
The 2-3 times he did rut in the Nest was extremely Fucking Bad and unsafe. Enough said.
Kandrew
Andrew took care of (more accurate to say protected) Kevin during his first rut as a Fox. Kevin got his rut out of nowhere and Andrew was too distrusting to have anyone else keep an eye on him.
Kevin finds Andrew's presence comforting and stabilizing while for Andrew it helps him to have someone submit to him and view him as still in control during such a delicate time.
When they're together down the line Andrew tops Kevin during his ruts and Kevin definitely moans Alpha during it and it turns them both on lol.
If Andrew has mentioned getting Kevin pregnant during these times that is between them and god, ok don't ask me.
Andrew never lets Kevin in during his heats and it just is. Kevin's ruts is enough for them, end of story.
