upon thinking, this account will likely close soon, after only a month of being active.
the online space isn’t for me, especially the riako & regretevator communities respectfully. i find myself appalled having publicly agreed — on another account, on twitter, but nonetheless — with someone on a folly-related matter only to find out they were well known for malicious comments and actions and the same thing i thought i was agreeing with got them in personal trouble with folly’s creator. while i don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes, what i do know is that i read their opinion incredibly wrong and i absolutely do not agree with their comments on the intent of folly’s creator. i did delete the comment on the same day i made it, so i don’t know if either party even saw it, but if so, i apologise. i think the way various things are represented can be misconstrued by a lot of people, and opinions can be very carefully worded. i apologise. i do not find aspects of folly fatphobic and it’s ridiculous to suggest as such
i do not get involved with the online regretevator community so i have no idea what made me do it this time. i think it was just that i read something about a character i adore and care for deeply and my brain autocorrected it to my own opinion, for the validation of sharing a headcanon.
the thing about folly is that she can be, and is, used by many as a means to project, feel seen and get through trauma. if portraying her in a certain way is how you do it, great! as long as her key parts are there, it really doesn’t matter. i love seeing everyone’s versions of folly.
i might change my blog to something else (or use it for my yumeship instead of my ‘serious’ riako stuff? who knows. let me know. see you
