A quick Salmon Meal

Air fryer salmon, chopped salad and a Dijon sauce and there you go a whole meal.

A meal do not have to require so much work and time just a little bit of creativity and simplicity.

“Thanksgiving”

Homemade and from scratch…….. Since the age of sixteen this holiday has been my favorite. It is about being in the kitchen creating meals that will make people happy and filling their stomachs to perfection. The conversations and laughter that is brought to the table. The stories that are told and this is the time you experience some of the best storytellers. And in it all, just being thankful for every encounter, experience and moment.

"Flemming's Leftovers"

I took the Tomahawk steak that I had left over from Flemings and made another dish with it. I chopped the steak up and sauted it with onions and garlic. I added tomatoes at the end and made a red wine reduction for the sauce and poured that over the steak. I then made poached eggs and warmed the creamed spinach from Flemings. The steak was still melt in your mouth good. The party on my plate 🍽️ made for a satisfying brunch.

THE TOMAHAWK

My husband took me to Flemming's. I decided to order the Tomahawk steak which is 35oz of beef. The bone longer than the plate. They served us with the steak precut, cooked medium, perfectly seasoned with 3 types of butters.

First, the greeter stood at the table and had conversation and he was a perfect gentleman. He didn't rush us when he seated us. Our waiter came to the table with the best table manners and hospitality. He was very pleasant the entire time and engaging. Afterwards we talked to the manager and she was absolutely awesome.

Now about this 35 oz cut of amazingness..... The steak was cooked to perfection, no lack in seasoning and melt in your mouth like butter. There is no such thing as a steak sauce for this steak. I took my time with each piece and savored every ounce of my steak. When I looked down and half of it was gone I intentionally stopped just so I could bring the other half home to enjoy. I didn't want to leave the table but I wanted to allow my food to digest slowly and I wanted to enjoy this food party I was having. My taste buds exploding with all the yummy goodness.

So, we packed up my side of creamed spinach I refused to eat because I did not want to ruin the flavor fest that was going on. Then my steak was packed neatly in its own container and then our waiter blessed me with their gooey chocolate cake to take home. The leftovers is another story for another post.

Flemings is by far the best steak house with the best steak I have ever had, so if you are in Orlando, FL and you're looking for somewhere to eat an amazing steak, then Flemming's is where you want to go.

The Table Restaurant, DeLand, FL

The Table DeLand serving breakfast, lunch, dinner & Sunday Brunch.

A restaurant in Downtown DeLand, FL......... One of my favorite restaurants and to date I have not had a bad meal. Their food is very flavorful and seasoned to perfection. I decided to go on a Sunday after Church and I walked into what I thought was the restaurant and toy surprise it is a store that absolutely captivated me. The store is part of the restaurant, so let's get back to the food.

I was directed to go a few steps further turn the corner and go down the stairs. Upon going down the stairs it was liked I stepped into another world. The mini waterfalls and the greenery.... Absolutely beautiful. Sitting down at the table we were instructed that it was their "Bottomless Sunday Brunch". I could order anything on the menu as many times as I like for $20 per person.

I ordered three menu items starting off and the food comes out on tapas plates. Everything in small portion and the flavor was still intact. The waist staff was amazing. Our waiter was Jenny. The beautiful thing was that she knew every menu item and could give me in-depth information about the food.

I forgot I was in DeLand for a minute, it felt like a mini food-cation....... So, if you're ever in DeLand, FL, this is definitely a place you need to come and eat.
