Tonight my friends and I went to Bernie's rally in downtown Chicago. Security was crazy strict after the protests at Trump's event just a few days before. We were even more on our toes after Trump, both on national news and on Twitter, threatened Bernie saying he'll send his supporters to Bernie's rallies to disrupt them. Unsure of what to expect, it was almost funny to see, when I rolled up to the rally on my bike, one lone trump supporter flying this MASSIVE flag reading "BERNIE = RIOTS" It was even funnier to see the flag, as we were leaving, laying in the middle of the street abandoned by its own creator. This is just a snapshot of this weird and wild election year, but it speaks loads to what Bernie said at the rally. "Love always trumps hate." Donald Trump's racist, bigoted, fear-mongering, and evil rhetoric couldn't hold its ground at the Bernie rally, and it won't hold its ground in our country. America is strongest when we work together, and Trump wants nothing more than to divide us and pit us against our neighbors. That will not jive in our streets. Oh and yeah we totally took the flag.
