Modo Olachenko comforting homesick reader

He could tell something was up as your birthday got closer and closer

You’d moved to Vineland to live with him, sick of the commute to and from and the lonely nights

And he could tell you missed your home, but he hadn’t quite realised how much till your birthday rolled around

After sitting down with you to make sure it wasn’t HIM making you upset and feeling like this he realised that you were homesick

And he knew he had to do something about it

He cancelled the surprise party he was planning for you with the team and came up with a plan

I like to think Modo is scarily good at hiding his plans

So you have no idea what’s coming

On your birthday he cuddles you all morning with breakfast in bed and a few small presents from him and the team, then he blindfolds you and leads you to Whisker Diner

When it comes off you’re greeted with:

Your family, all sat in the boothes who immediately jump up and gather you in a big hug

Foods and drinks that are from your home town that you’ve lamented about since you can’t get them in Vineland

And small things from your old house and parents house that can help remind you of your home

Safe to say Modo is very proud of himself for organizing this

You definitely owe him a big hug and many kisses

But for now he’s content to watch as you brighten up instantly and sit down with him by your side, leaning into his shoulder as his arm pulls you closer

“Thank you Modo…”

“It was nothing! I would do much more to see your smile”

MODO HEAT HEADCANNONS

PSA this is intended for readers +18 please respect this and minors DNI!!

The first sign a few weeks before it starts is he gets more clingy

Like he was cling before but now he’s following you from room to room

Then he starts hissing at people when they get too close for his liking, this is when you know his heat is definitely coming

Then the nesting happens, if you live together? He’s taking over the master bedroom and building a giant nest for comfort, protection and to show off

If you don’t live together, you’ll notice on the weeks leading up to his heat that some of your stuff goes missing like your pillows, or an odd hoodie or two, a few plushies maybe your underwear

He never pressures you to help him during his heat

If you live together and you choose not to help he accepts that and pays for you to stay at a spa/hotel till it’s over, on the condition you call him every night and message him a lot because he’s going against his instinct letting you go and he’s gonna suffer for it

If you live together and you agree to help… you’ll need to book the days off work

Once the “yes” leaves your mouth he’s on you, scooping you up and carrying you to the nest he’s built- buckle up buttercup

He’s not COMPLETELY instinct driven, he knows to give you breaks, and a safe word is definitely put in place

Likes to cook you food whilst you stay in the nest resting you need it

You come out of it with hundreds of small bite marks, his scent all over you and a very proud, possessive, smitten Komodo dragon boyfriend

Modo when you’re sick Headcannons

Immediate concern

If he’s there with you he’ll cancel his training for the day to make sure you’re okay and looked after

“I cannot come to training, (y/n) is sick and Modo will be nursing them back to health”

Starts by wrapping you in as many blankets as possible and building almost like a nest around you

Then determines if you have a fever, if you do then he gets you a cold compress and snuggles you

Makes you whatever you want though the kitchen is a mess afterwards!

Hand feeds you and gives you small forehead kisses inbetween bites

He’s cold blooded so if you feel too hot he can help cool you down

If you want/need a bath he insists on helping you, he’ll wash your hair and give you a scalp massage to relax you

If the illness lasts longer than two days he inevitably starts to panic slightly that you’re dangerously ill and will urge you (force you) to go to the doctors

All round 10/10 nurse

When you’re better he celebrates by ordering whatever takeout you both want, kissing you on the lips every five seconds cause he missed it, and cuddling on the sofa
