iām sure this had been said multiple times and by far more eloquent people than myself but:
the fact that supernatural took dean winchester and killed him in a barn on a mundane, simple hunt is not only horrible writing and a cheap way to make it the s*m show, and pander to the s*m girls they need to carry over to the cwās walker to keep it afloat, but itās also a big fuck you and a horrible message to fans of the show who suffer with any kind of mental illness.
they really said the only āfittingā and āsatisfyingā end was to take the heart of the show, someone who suffered from depression, ptsd, suicidal ideation, substance abuse, etc was that it only gets better after you die. that everyone around you feels lighter and is able to go about their life again without your āburdenā. they even had the audacity to throw in an āalways keep fightingā for good measure, despite their very clear message that āwhy bother fighting? just when you think youāre free to live your life youāll learn that your own true peace was in ādeathā bc thatās all youāre good forā. : )
super positive message wow what a great arc and great takeaway to the fans who kept your show going for 15 seasons.
