Here is some excuses to help: •I fell out a tree •a cat scratched me •what? How did those get there? •I got attacked •I fell over •paper cuts •scratched an itch too much Some quick excuses, I know this is short but I'm in a rush. Hope these helped you of anyone decides to ask what the cuts are.

What to do to keep yourself distracted from self-harm
I know it’s sometimes hard, trust me I’ve been there. You have nothing to do and you feel the need to harm yourself. Some of you may want to stop but your insides feel like you have to harm yourself. So here are some tips that may or may not help:
•listen to music- let the sound of music calm you •draw- take out the frustration inside you by drawing •talk to someone you trust-tell them how you feel •watch tv/television-watch something you enjoy maybe a horror movie, or comedy whatever you want •take a shower- sometimes the feeling of water hitting your back calms you and makes you forget everything •read- read something you enjoy.
I hope some of these tips help, if you want you can always ask me to do a certain tip/subject on self harm you need help on.

I know some of you don't want to hear about my life, so if you do not then stop reading!
 I'm not very good at opening up but bare with me.
 So I get bullied, the usual you know hit and name called anyway my parents don't know about me cutting they think whoever does it should be locked up.
 Well my mum found out, and every since her and my dad have started acting strange. I know they think i'm not normal. I'm dark and I like to sketch depressing pictures.
 I feel trapped in my own house, I've lost all my friends and I know that i'm not gonna let myself get close to anyone.
  Not again...
Keeping self-harm from you're parents:
First you want to ask if they accept self-harm. Don't say anything about you doing it but just say 'mum, dad there is this kid in my school who does self-harm, how do you feel about this?' And if they reply with a positive answer tell them, or just one of them. Now to keep self-harm from you're parents you will have too: •only tell someone you really trust who won't tell anyone and make it go around. •if your parents/parent check your phone, try not to say anything about on messages. •if they ask about what is on your arm just say, a cat scratched me and make up a story of when you were at school or walking home. •anything that you have that proves you harm yourself, hide somewhere where parents/parent will never look. •don't go making it obvious you are depressed. Act a little cheery! •don't leave any traces of blood on you're bedroom, but if they do find some just say 'I have cut my knee' or 'nose bleed' Hope these tips will help you in the future! #tips #trying to help #hide #scars #been there done that

How to cover your cuts
Anyone who cuts in an obvious place would know that they are a little hard to cover. I would recommend wearing long sleeve tops or some leggings or jeans if you’re cuts are in the lower part of your body. I also say you should google some good creams that cover cuts and maybe use foundation or some sort of makeup that matches you’re skin tone. Hope this helps!

The lines project
As you know on the 15th of December to the 20th of December there is this subject called the lines project. This happens every year and takes place because of people who do self harm. If you support self harm but have never done it, you would draw six different coloured lines on you're right wrist. But just say you do put yourself through self harm then you would draw six different coloured lines of you're left wrist. You can find out more details by searching #thelinesproject on Instagram.
