Standard Bitter Love Song #1 - The Mountain Goats

It started out as something cute and fun, a dream come trueso to speak. Everyone thought they were the cutest couple in Johto, much toWhitney’s delight. Green liked the girl’s energetic nature and how easily shekept his attention, and she enjoyed the fame that came with dating one of the region’shottest guys (or so her magazines said.) However, this dream wouldn’t last forlong. As time passed, Whitney’s bouncy energy began to chip away at Green, whatused to be adorable and sweet became annoying and just plain cringe-y. Littleby little he found himself beginning to dislike Whitney, who noticed that his attitudehad changed drastically. Their relationship continued to deteriorate at asteady pace until Green was fed up with it and tried to break it off withWhitney, but before he could get a single word out the usually bubbly gymleader blew up on him. Screaming and stabbing at his chest with her indexfinger, he reeled back and found himself staring down into a pair of fiery pinkeyes. “I’m done with you Green Oak!” Were her last words before she left himstanding dumbfounded and feeling a strange mixture of fear, heartbreak,emptiness and relief.

“Monsieur champ” Green felt a tinge of pride burn in his chest. True, he was a champ at one point but his reign was so short that hardly anyone remembered it. Those who did remember it can recall how quickly his title was lost. Still, it felt good to know that he was a little famous, even in Kalos.

Eevee on the other hand, was incredulous. Cute as a Pikachu? Her tail fluffed up at that statement, she was most certainly cuter than a Pikachu! Green chuckled and patted the haughty Eevee’s head, “Don’t worry girl, she didn’t mean anything by it!” Still miffed, Eevee stuck out her tongue and began to preen herself while Green kneeled by her side and looked at the bubbly girl before him with a bemused smile. “She’s just a little prideful is all, no harm done!” Eevee glared at the young girl and her Goodra, as if to say “Yeah right!” before nuzzling Green’s hand.

“Alright, enough of that! Now… before we start I do have to admit one… eensy weensy teeny little thing.” He rubbed the back of his neck and smiled just a little sheepishly. “Truth is, we’ve never been in a contest! But that doesn’t mean I can’t help you out, contests are just a different form of battling right?” He quickly reassured the girl, “It can’t be that hard.”

Green cracked his knuckles and cleared his throat. “Alright Eevee… I want you to use Swift, but all elegantly and stuff!” Unused to this sort of disposition and technique, Eevee merely sat on the grass and looked at Green curiously, “Uhh…” Green rubbed the back of his neck again, “Then how about…” Unable to think of anything else, Green felt his cheeks steadily heating up, thinking quickly he turned to face the girl. “Y’know I just realized that I haven’t even introduced myself to you! My name’s Green, yourself?”

In the palace garden of the Parfum Palace amid the blooming flowers and wild pokemon was absolutely the perfect place to train. Whether for battles or for a pokemon showcase, the large space and the beautiful greenery was more than enough to inspire the ever bursting Shauna to want to train even harder than ever.

» “Alright li'l Goolie, it’s time… to… d a n c e !” Grabbing hold of his arms, Shauna swayed with the Goodra who made silly faces at her, causing her to burst into laughter. » “N-no, Goolie pffffft, you’ve gotta concentrate and watch me - step one, two, three and twirl!” Obediently, her Goodra followed her steps and twirled her, only to pull her back into a goeey hug.  

» “Oh you ♪ ,” she said laughing and attempting to wipe the slime off her clothes. “It’s step step and twirl, not step step twirl and hug. C'mon now, be serious! You were doing so well the other day, what’s gotten into you…?”

Parfum Palace, an elegant castle decorated with lavish tapestries and a lush history. Once home to a king, it now stands as a tourist attraction where people can pay a small fee to feel like royalty.

However, Green wasn’t here to feel like royalty, instead he was here to conduct a small bit of research on the history and architecture of the castle. With a small notebook and a pencil, Green strode down the opulent marble hallways and jotted down notes and sketching a few drawings of brickwork. After a few hours of making notes and asking a multitude of questions to his tour guide, Green decided that he should take a break from note-taking and just appreciate the splendor and beauty Parfum Palace had to offer; and what better way to do that than by enjoying the garden?

The fresh, crisp aroma of flowers wafted outside, people and their Pokemon strode with pride through the flora. Green was fixated on a rather sprity trainer and her Goodra. The pair of them seemed to be dancing, if you could call it that. Carefully eavesdropping (it’s not like he was trying to, you can’t help hearing things!) he caught a snippet of their conversation.

“Its step step and twirl, not step step tril and hug. C’mon now, be serious! You were doing so well the other day, what’s gotten into you?”

A smirk inched its way across the nosy trainer’s face, this girl was probably training with her Goodra for some sort of contest. He drew Eevee’s Pokeball from his belt, “Alright buddy, let’s teach this girl a thing or two!” In a small flash of light, Eevee emerged from the ball and clambered up Green’s shoulders.  With his hands in his pockets and his Eevee curled around his neck, Green stood up and ambled over to the girl and her Pokemon, “I see you’re trying to teach some dance moves to your Pokemon- Do you mind if I give you a few pointers?”

Don’t Lose Your Way (Persona 3 AU) // Green & Mei

The Dark Hour, a terrifying hour in which the world changes drastically and normal people are transmogrified into coffins and become totally oblivious to what’s happening. Eldritch creatures known as “shadows” roam the streets at this hour, eager to lure people out of their coffins to devour them. However, not everyone is affected by this sinister hour, those with the potential to summon a Persona, a manifestation of that person’s personality summoned by using a gun-shaped device called the “Evoker”. By using this manifestation, these “Persona Users” are able to fight against shadows at the expense of their stamina…

Green’s shoes pounded against the city’s pavement, he threw a furtive glance behind his back and pushed himself further when he noticed his pursuers catching up to him. There was no time for him to catch his breath, stopping for just a moment would mean certain death. Normally he wouldn’t be running from something like this, but during tonight’s Dark Hour he saw a girl who wasn’t transmogrified; an exceedingly rare sight during these occurrences!

However, before he could get a word out, she had run off, the look on her face told Green all he needed to know: simply put she was terrified beyond wit’s end. Afraid that she could end up with a grisly fate he gave chase, probably not the smartest thing to do but this was an emergency! Finally, she came to a stop at an intersection encompassed by coffins, but he couldn’t rest yet, there were shadows to deal with!

“Hey you! Wait up a s-“

Before he could finish calling to her he was blindsided by a rather nimble shadow! Green tumbled as the Evoker flew from his hands and skittered across the floor, landing neatly at the girl’s feet. He kicked the spry shadow from his legs and began to panic, “You! I know this sounds crazy but I need you to point that gun at your head and squeeze the trigger!” He swore to himself, not exactly the best way to convince someone to do something, but goddamn, this was an emergency! The shadow slashed at his face as the others moved closer, “Please!” Green’s voice trembled quaked, “Just trust me on this!”

Old College Try // Green & Chili

The orange somber sun was beginning to peek from behind the mountains, various Pokemon welcomed the new day with chirruping and chattering. 

Patrons inside of Striaton City’s café were greeting the morning as well as the heavy aroma of coffee drifted in the air accompanied with the occasional clatter of forks and plates. Green nibbled on a buttery croissant he had ordered, the warm pastry complimented the mug of coffee he had with it. He signed in content, dawn was easily his most favorite time of day. A wry smile crossed his face as he finished the last few bites of his croissant and washed it down with his lukewarm coffee, he knocked his knuckles on the table. “Oh, waiter… I’m finished!”

His waiter came, with a scowl that could scare a Dragonite away smeared across his face. Scarlet eyes smoldered quietly, clearly this person was no early bird! He grumbled something about being happy for his patronage and left him with the bill: $10.77, a little expensive but Green knew what he was getting himself into… or so he thought. He frantically searched his pockets, twice, his jacket three times; his wallet wasn’t found in either.

Trying not to panic, Green went over scenarios, maybe they’d make him work in the back for the day. Maybe they’d just say it’s on the house, or maybe… his eyes darted to the left and then the right, perhaps he could make a break for it. As he was surveying his surroundings, he noticed his red-headed waiter frantically waving his free arm around in front of a girl while carrying a pot of coffee in the other. She looked increasingly nervous as the young man flailed around, barely in earshot, Green had gotten the gist of the conversation: he was trying to impress her by bragging about some inhuman feat. His tall tale was quickly put to an end when he accidentally tipped forward a little too much and slid the coffee pot right off the warming try, the woman narrowly dodged the scalding liquid and scolded the man by bopping him lightly on the head after giving him a few choice words.

Putting the pieces together quickly, Green had come up with a scheme that could get him out of his little predicament. He beckoned the crestfallen waiter over to his table and smiled into his knuckle, “You’re pretty brave aren’t you?” Green commended, glancing into the wily eyes of… his own eyes darted to the waiter’s nametag, haphazardly pinned through his shirt it read: Chili. “I’ll tell you, Chili, I’m in a bit of a snafu here. You see…” He drew himself closer to Chili and dropped his voice, “I forgot to bring my wallet. So I have a little proposition to make. If I can teach you how to impress girls and get you a date by…” He checked his watch, 9:49AM, “3PM then you’ll waive my little embarrassment here. If not then… I’ll take the rest of your shift. Sound fair?” He stuck out his hand and waited for his response.

Les Garçons Pompeuses et Grands // Green & Calem

The green countryside was a welcome blessing, blossoms dotted the hills and sturdy trees stood proudly along the path.

 A cool breeze ruffled Green’s hair as he went over his contract one last time, it was simple enough. All he had to do was escort some royal duke to the next country for a meeting of some sort, not too complicated or troublesome, in fact, it should be just about one of the simplest jobs he’s ever taken.

Finally inside the stronghold, Green was taken by surprise at the ornate decorations that surrounded him. Purple drapes fluttered in the windows, the soft carpet was plush beneath his boots and the smell of lavender drifted about the stony interior. Saying it was elegant, was putting it lightly, but Green wasn’t here to waffle around. He set his sword (sheathed of course) at the end of a rather lengthy table and took a seat to go over his contract one last time while waiting for his charge to come forth…

Green’s tall and sturdy with a straight back. He’s not well-built or anything like Chuck or Crasher Wake, but he does have some muscles. I guess sort of Ottermode? I’unno.

47. Do they want to project an image of a younger, older, more important person? Does they want to be visible or invisible?

Green probably doesn’t want to protect any images right now, especially since he’s got some issues to flatten out. But when he’s a little older and has atoned for what he’s done, he’d probably make a great father figure.

Green usually talks with his hands, especially when giving directions. That being said, he also yells with his hands.

Green only has his sister Daisy back in Pallet Town. Won’t admit it, but he does love her to bits, especially since the two of them only had each other growing up. Traveling too far from home leaves Green with heartache and he hates to make her worry. As far as despising, there’s nothing he really despises, but he does get worked up when she picks over him or reminisces about when they were younger.
