Selfie When? [Skye + Sasha]

Skye pouted as she waited outside the gym. The Leader was nowhere to be seen, and she was getting pretty impatient. “… He may not be here…” She looked down at her Piplup, which let out a little cry. It was strange that he wasn’t here though.

Nonetheless, she stood outside the door and waited, crossing her arms. She turned slightly as someone approached the building, and big brown eyes stared at the stranger.

“Hello! What’s up!”

"Hi there! You look kinda down, something wrong?" She'd seen the look of supposed disappointment on the other girl, and was curious as to what was bothering her. She walked over to her with a friendly smile, her Umbreon simply sniffing once at the Piplub before loosing intrest in it.

"I'm Sasha, and this is Moonlight. Nice to meet you." She pet the Umbreon when she introduced him, and he gave a short but happy sounding cry in response.

Flash Fire | | Cynthia & Sasha

The Sinnoh Champion found herself exploring an old cave, rumored to have ancient markings. They were strange, and something she wanted to investigate. Many rumors had begun to circulate as to their origins, and Cynthia was bent on discovering the secrets that rested inside the old walls of the caves. With her Umbreon by her said, illuminating the old markings, she set her mind to copying the pictures and words that rested on the walls.  

What secrets did the small drawings and words hold? Who left these here in the first place? There were so many questions and the blonde didn’t have near enough answers to satisfy her. Glancing down to her journal, she pondered. She could have sworn she had cast her eyes on these somewhere before. Walking over to the bag she left along the wall, she dug for a book, hoping her intuition about lore was correct.

Her fingers flip through the pages, trying to discern anything of importance, or similar markings. She furrowed her brows in frustration, not finding what she was looking for. Another look, she needed another point of view. The blonde continued to flip through the pages, only to be whisked away by something poking at her leg. She turned around to see a tiny shiny golden fox. Closing the books in her hands, she stooped over, to get a better look. “Hello there, and who might you be?” She paused, observing the fox Pokemon, until she saw a figure coming into view. “Are you looking for a Vulpix by any chance? Quite the cute little thing it is.”

“He’s lucky he’s so cute..” Making her run all over Arceus’ creation after him was his favorite thing to do, but he was worth it. Zeke was a very special Vulpix, a one of a kind shiny, and Sasha was determined to have him on her team. He liked battling, and got along ok with the others, so it wasn’t like she was keeping him against his will. He just needed to grow out of his overly playful phase…

“Sorry if Zeke was bothering you, miss.. he’s just way too energetic for his own good.” She smiled, while her own Umbreon padded his way over to sniff the other’s as a silent but friendly greeting. This other trainer seemed oddly familiar, though Sasha was sure that they’d never met before. Maybe she’d seen her on tv somewhere..?

“My new shoes…”

Just her luck, but her shoes we’re what her main concern was. The Umbreon at her side was, or rather, his reaction to what had just happened. The black Pokémon’s gold rings were glowing, which indicated he was about to attack.

“Moonlight, no. Calm down, it was an accident.”

He huffed in response, but did as told, sniffing at the spilt liquid on the ground before loosing interest. Sasha sighed and looked over at the other, an apologetic expression on her face

“It’s alright, honestly. Accidents happen. Would you grab some napkins though? I don’t wanna trail this everywhere…

Her shoes were dripping, and walking anywhere would result in coffee droplets getting all over everything. She wasn’t angry at this turn of events, on the contrary she was actually still quite happy with today, and it showed. Besides, her shoes would smell like coffee now, which wasn’t a bad aroma at all.

              She isn’t mad - which Cheren feels a small twinge of relief at. He does as she asks and retrieves a wad full of napkins from a dispenser. Cheren kneels forward hastily, on one knee, and does his best to staunch the flow of pungent coffee leaking from her shoes. The coffee is in puddles; but he mops it up in a matter of a minute.

                 Although, he has to wrinkle his nose at the scent of the newly splashed shoes. While pleasing, Cheren can only imagine the consequences of this later. No doubt, her shoes would turn sticky. With the air added as an element, the stench would become overbearing over the course of a few days.

                Cheren feels glad that he’s not on the other end, however.

                He rubs the back of his head, pale lips pursed into a thin line. “ Sorry, again. I bet if you wash them good tonight, your shoes won’t become all sticky. Here, let me make it up to you. I’ll get you a coffee, free of charge. It’s all on me. “

“Oh, no, don’t worry about it, really. It was just an accident, you don’t gotta make anything up.” She smiled, already over her initial shock at this turn of events. She was a very forgiving person, after all.

“All I really wanted was a little pick-me-up anyhow, nothing much. Thank you for the offer though, that’s sweet of you.”

Running Out Of Luck || Silver & Sasha

She didn’t reply right away, simply holding up a hand and resting the other on her knee, breathing heavily. An equally exhausted Umbreon padded out of the grass behind her, flopping down on his belly with a deep sigh.

“No worries… Zeke likes… to run off too… quite often… in fact!”

The little Vulpix seemed to giggle in response to his trainer’s exasperated speech, turning his attention back to the big water type he’d just made friends with. Sasha leaned against a tree and slid down its trunk, holding her side and catching her breath.

“If anything, running into you was a convince. Please, for sake of my sanity, let the two play. Tire mine out…”

Zeke was like a toddler, only with four legs instead of two, and he could breathe fire. Sasha could tell the other Pokémon was a water type, so she didn’t worry about it getting hurt by Zeke’s flames. Not that she worried Zeke would dare use fire around the other, at least not in an attacking manner. He may be troublesome, but he wasn’t stupid.

Silver almost wanted to argue against that. He preferred not to waste his time if he didn’t have to. The more he thought, though, the more he considered the idea. There wasn’t much to be done anyways. He had only gone out of Jublife to stretch his legs before he made his final decision in what Route to actually take for the journey ahead. Not to mention Feraligatr seemed pleased with the idea, preferring to lay around as his new little friend observed him. Once Feraligatr got settled down, it would be hard to move him unless Silver wanted to put him back in his ball.

“I guess we have time…” Silver muttered, sitting on the ground nearby the Trainer and her Umbreon. He watched the two Pokemon play around. Although Feraligatr remained laying in the grass, he was more than happy to paw at the Vulpix, with friendly growls escaping his throat. The Vulpix was certainly more active than he was. It was kind of funny watching a little Pokemon bounce around what was essentially an over glorified blue rock.

Still, Silver was intrigued by the little shiny Vulpix that Feraligatr had found. This had been the first time he’d seen a shiny Pokemon. Their rarity was astounding, and it made him wonder how anyone could manage to find one. Apparently, this Trainer had. Silver couldn’t help but to ask.

“So… how’d you find it? The Vulpix, I mean. Pokemon like that are pretty rare, so I can’t imagine it was easy to find…”

Sasha smiled and sat a little more properly now, crossing her legs and adjusting her skirt. Smiling at the other trainer, she thought back to when she’d met the golden fire fox.

“Oh, finding him was the easy part. He wanted to be found. He just… really liked to taunt us. Moonlight ‘n I spent the good part of the day chasing him around, and Zeke basically caugh himself once he was done playing. ’m pretty sure he exists solely to antagonize us, but I love the lil guy.“

While she’d been talking, the Umbreon had crawled over to her and awkwardly snuggled into her lap, laying partly on his side and partly on his back, and completely stretched out across his trainer, a back paw sticking up in the air. Sasha simply began to pet the black Pokémon, her smile only growing. She loved all her Pokémon dearly, wanting the best for them and expecting only two things in return: that they’d do their best in battle, and that they’d all be happy. If something wasn’t right with one of them, she’d do her best to make it better. She looked over at the two Pokémon playing in the grass, happy to see them both having fun.

“You’re not from around here, are you? What kind of Pokémon is yours? And oh, I’m Sasha, by the way. Nice to meet you.”

1) To put it bluntly, if she ever sees her dad she’s going to push him off the top of Mt. Cormet and write it off as an unfortunate accident. She knows now that he abandoned her mother and herself when she was five, and while she doesn’t activity harbor any deep hatred for him, thinking about him leaves a sour taste in her mouth.

5) Her mother tended to shelter her a bit, but didn’t go as far as to coddle her. Sasha grew up with her mom holding her hand, but as she got older, her mother backed off little by little.

17) Traveling is what every Pokémon trainer does, and Sasha loves it. She plans on visiting the other regions someday, preferably after she’s gotten her eighth gym badge but before she attemps to challenge the champion.

36) Sasha dislikes seeing others suffer and will try to help them, regardless of age difference or affiliation. If someone is hurt, she’ll try to help.

9) Sasha doesn’t concern herself with politics or thoughts on who should be running what. She figures she’s just a kid, and those kinds of thoughts will be better placed when she’s older.

10) She’s both book smart and street smart, but more of the former. She’s intelligent enough to be able to apply something from a book into real life situations, but when it comes to witty remarks, she’d have to know the person enough to come up with something good.

32) Sasha will deal with a stressful situation head on, owing up to whatever fault she may have been at or setting her mind to work on an agreeable solution. When that stressful situation is her own personal failure, she tends to step away for a while, training her team and herself until she and they feel ready to win where they'd previously fallen short.

24) Oddly enough, Sasha isn’t all to fond of social gatherings at the moment. She has plans to compete in contests once she and her Pokémon (specifically Zeke and Eric) are older.

44) Sasha is incredibly determined to become one of the most powerful trainers in the world, building her team on trust and type. While she’s got a long way to go and a whole lot more to learn, she plans to someday have a team that can cover each other’s weaknesses and build on their strengths.

45) Sasha is a responsible trainer, putting her Pokémon’s happiness before her desire to achieve her goals. She would never force a Pokémon to battle, and wouldn’t shun them away for that either. She’s very passionate about what she likes, often getting overly excited before awkwardly settling herself. She’s forgiving to a fault, and sometimes turns a blind eye to issues that others would become very combative with. That being said, she refuses to be taken advantage of. If she finds out that's happened... let's just say she's a lot less forgiving.
