Mary was wondering where Seto could have went. After all, Seto is one of the guys in Mekakushi-dan she’s most comfortable with. That’s when she saw him in the headquarters.

She happily approaches him, but she tripped and fell to the ground.

Seto had been lazing about the headquarters. Today, he didn’t have to do any work, which proved to leave him with nothing to do except for wandering around. For one thing, he had talked to a bird outside, which came by quite frequently in the morning nowadays. The conversation was short-lived, and the boy was once again left wondering what to do. His thoughts went over to his albino friend. Maybe he should visit her? Hearing the exact voice of the friend, Seto quickly turned around to face it. How convenient!

“Mar—” Thud.

“—y!” Immediately, he knelt down towards the fallen girl, extending his arms around her. “You okay?” Seto waited for her to get up, leaving a hand in front of her in case she wanted it.

"Y--yes, I'm okay...." She was too excited to meet her very first friend again, that she doesn't watch her steps. She dislikes her clumsy self and she didn't really want to trouble Seto with it. However, she is really glad to meet him again, that she soon forgets about that feeling.

"H...how are you? Do you have any works today?" She asks while she stands up with the help of Seto's hands.

”….O…okay then.” Despite on what’s she’s saying, Mary still feels a sense of distrust, since Kano seeming like he’s having fun every time he teased her and Mary feels like he won’t stop just by this.

Mary slowly approaches Kano, lowering her guard before she’s stating her opinion.

“…But why are you having so much fun teasing others, Kano? I don’t think hurting people’s feelings are a good thing…”

Now that she’s moved closer to him, he turns his head to fix his gaze on her once more, his smile slowly returning to his face.

“Whaaat? There isn’t anything wrong with a little teasing every now and then, is there?” It’s easy for him to say. He’s never the one on the receiving end. Even if he was, he’s not the type to let that sort of thing get to him.

Mary is surprised when Kano suddenly grins. However she didn't use her power, and instead cowers by turning her head down. She then continues on telling Kano what she thought to be appropriate manner.

"Y...you shouldn't hurt people's feelings...."

“That’s great to hear!” She replied and let out a small laugh, “Ah, by the way, I was thinking about going to the shopping center, do you want to come along?”

”Eh? Of course I want to!” Mary smiles. She doesn’t like crowds, but if it’s with her best friend, she’s completely fine with it.

“Great! Let’s go, then!” She exclaimed and held her best friend’s hand. She was glad that Mary decided to come along even though she hated crowds, and on top of it, she was going with her, the one who could actually gather lots of people.

“Okay!” Mary smiles and follows Momo. Mary does know about Momo’s power, but as long as Momo is around, she’ll manage being on the crowds somehow. If it’s too much for both of them, Mary might freeze them all and make a way for them to run.

”Um… what will we buy?” Mary asked, just in advance.

“Ah, well…we don’t really need to buy something if we don’t see something interesting. I could do with just seeing!” She replied as they walked towards the shopping center. Momo had put on her hoodie and she really hoped the wind won’t blew it off again like last time.

“But, if you wanted to buy something, just say it to me, ‘kay?”

"Okay, Momo!" Mary smiles as she walks besides Momo. She wonders if there are any interesting things around, and begin to do her observations when she arrived. Her gaze are now fixed to the section of hair accessories--- not only because it's less crowded than the other sections right now, and Mary turns to her best friend as she said;

"....Um, do you think I should wear something like... those?" She pointed to the accessories. Mary could make one herself, but some of the factory-made are out of her ability, like hairclips.

Mary’s feeling really awkward, but she knew she should be alright. Especially after Shintarou said thanks for being friends with Momo.

”Y…yes… and.. I’m glad to hear that.” Mary gently stroke a smile. She was really happy she could be that important to Momo, which she considers as a very special friend. Sure, Kido, Kano, and Seto were special too, but there are something she could only share with Momo. Maybe it’s because Kido’s not much of a feminine girl, that she felt more comfortable with Momo.

”…I… also need to thank you… um… you once carried me when I passed out, right…?” It wasn’t something similar to what Shintarou thanks Mary for, but she thought it could be appropriate for the moment.

“Huh? Oh, that… Y-yeah, sure. It was no problem. Nothing you have to thank me for.” Truth be told, he’d completely forgotten about it. And even then, it’s not something he expected to be thanked for, and his cheeks are now tinted red with mild embarrassment. “… Uh, how have you been getting along with everyone else? Are things going okay with them?”

"Yes, everything's okay." Mary slowly nods at Shintarou's question. She's been getting along with everyone more lately. She's glad to have such good friends, and she'll make sure she'll treasure them forever.

Mary slowly nods while Kanade said it sounds fun. For Mary, it’s the only job she could do without messing up, so she’s really enjoying it. She began to feel more and more relax around Kanade, but she was surprised Kanade offers her tea.

”I…is it really okay?” Mary said in a weak tone, but you can sense she’s quite happy. They have just met and she didn’t want to trouble Kanade by that. However, she’s happy she got a really kind new friend.

“Yes, it really is okay.” Kanade reassured her with a warm, happy smile. She could see the happiness in her, even if it didn’t really show on the outside. Kanade loved to make tea, even if it was for people she had just met. It was always such a fun way of getting to know them better and Kanade could tell this girl had a lot of interesting stories.

"T..then.... yes, I would like to drink tea with you." Mary smiles gently. She could make one herself, but drinking it with her friends would always be better. She's no longer too scared of Kanade, despite there's still a trace of nervousness in her. She is still a bit afraid she'll mess up, anyway.

"...I can help you with it, if you want to...." offers Mary, since she's not very comfortable if she just let Kanade do all the work. All she could wish is not to mess up while she helps, though.

”Momo! How are you?” She walks towards her in a pace faster than her usual pace. She’s really happy to see Momo here.

“Mary!” The blond exclaimed with a bright smile as she saw her best friend walks towards her, Momo then gave her a tight hug before releasing the other after a few seconds.

“I’m great! How about you?”

The hug surprised her for several seconds, but afterwards she hugs Momo back before the blonde released her.

The girl is polite and Mary think she couldn’t be a bad guy. Mary slowly shook her head at the question, since she doesn’t come here alone, but then she stopped.

”I think… I’m alone for… now…” Mary said in a shaking tone. That’s right, she’s now all alone. She’s a bit scared.

I noticed she was looking rather scared and smiled as friendly as I could muster, “Would you like me to stay with you?”

I thought for a bit longer, “Or maybe I’ll walk you to where you need to go?”

"I need to go shopping, but... I don't think I remember the place...." says Mary in a small tone. She still holds the shopping list, so she should have known what she should buy. But she didn't remember where she should buy them.

Mary isn’t actually sure of going out for shopping alone. Actually, not alone, but she was with Seto who have just wanders somewhere else, and she couldn’t find him back.

At least, Mary is glad there aren’t so many people on the street right now. It was rather empty, but Mary still fears of going alone. Her feet are shaking, but she tried her best not to broke down into tears.

She found her way towards a very empty street. There’s not much there except for some vending machines of some soda drinks. All of sudden, she could hear footsteps from behind her.

”…!”

She whispers to herself, please be Seto or someone I knew, or at least someone’s that not a bully. Her trauma strikes again as she decides to turn around.

I was walking down the rather empty street and notice a young girl walking by herself in front of me and not really paying attention to her I kept walking on.

I saw her suddenly turn around and saw that she was looking rather scared, “U-uh, hi.” I stutter

As Mary turned around, a beautiful lady stands. However, Mary knew she’s better be wary of strangers since it once leads her into a traumatic moment. Mary remembers she have her power to stop her if she done something wrong, but what if the girl doesn’t mean any harm at all? Mary knew it’s not a good thing to doubt everyone during their first meeting, but she’s too shy.

”…Um… Hello. I—- I’m sorry, I thought you were…I mean….” She decides to gather her courage and puts her priority to know who is this lady. However, her shyness prevent her from doing so.

I saw that the girl was rather shy and seemed really nervous because I was a stranger.

“I’m sorry if I scared you!” I apologize bowing. “I was just on my way to the shops.” I look around. “Are you by yourself?”
