okay, so for those that don’t know, here is a quick breakdown on MBTI! the acronym, MBTI, stands for Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. it’s a personality test. you might have seen people say, “oh, my personality type is ENTP/ISFJ/ESTJ/etc. below are all the different options for each letter. there are 16 possible different types. here’s the test to figure out what your personality type is (it’s free, no stupid ‘put your email in here and we’ll give you a discount!’ stuff).
okay! to the hcs!! please keep in mind that these are all MY headcanons, if you have different ideas, that’s great!! but please don’t come after me!! <3
growing up in the Knight’s Academy, i feel like Sky would’ve been the quiet kid at school. he had a bully, Groose (but luckily they’re friends now lol). I also feel like he’d be more intuitive, always looking for a creative solution. and then, of course he would be a feeler; he went on his entire quest because of his love for Zelda. and finally, his usual calm, controlled nature gives off a more judgier vibe… except when he gets angry.
Four is always lost in his head lol. i mean, he’s got four lil guys in there. therefore, since he already has so many thoughts to think about, to everyone else, i think he’d come off as more as an introvert. I also think he’s a more sensing type because i feel like he’d get lost in the little details of things— the stitching on his tunic, the way his headband sits on his forehead, the details on a blade he’s forging. and finally, somewhat contrary to the rest of what i’ve been saying, i feel like Four would spontaneously burst into chaos (or fire *COUGH RED COUGH*) occasionally. or, maybe more than occasionally lol.
okay, hear me out on the whole extrovert thing T-T. i don’t believe Time is the kind of extrovert who is the life of the party, constantly interacts, and is very outgoing, i think he’s more the extrovert who sits to the side contently, energized by the people around them and the vibe. so, not the most outgoing extrovert, but i do hc that he is one. similar to Four, i think Time is careful with all the small details; he does not want to burden anyone by getting anything wrong, including himself. also, i think that he is more a feeler, especially after his peaceful childhood. but, as the years have gone on, he inches closer to becoming a thinker every day. finally, i think he is a bit of a more judgier type, although, that’s up for debate lol. overall, Time’s personality is generally hard to read, so this one was difficult for me.
Legend is an extrovert, but he’d never admit it. he says that he hates others and prefers being by himself, but put him in a crowd (and maybe give him a drink or two) and i think he’d be yelling and laughing too. years of adventuring and his inherent childhood curiosity have made him more of an intuitive type. and again, he wouldn’t admit to it, but i do think he’s more a feeler type, again because of all the considerations he’s had to ponder for others upon his many journeys. finally, i think he is certainly a perceptive type; he’s just gonna do what he knows is right, and if the others don’t want to go along with it? so be it. unless it’s like… really wrong… or something lol.
i don’t know how to explain this one, Hyrule is just a lil bean (with, like, insane magical abilities) and he’s just such an introvert. it’s just vibes, no words, sorry lol. years of running from (and fighting) his era’s monsters has taught him to look at the bigger picture when it comes to plans. i certainly think he’s on the more logical side, taking account the best way to go into battle or deal with a tricky situation. and finally, i do feel like Rulie would be a bit more spontaneous, whether that’s with Legend or sneaking off into the woods with Wild, etc. lol.
like Time, i think Twilight is that kind of quiet extrovert. he LOVES being around people, but that doesn’t mean he’s the center of attention. for example, in his village, he loves hanging out around all the kids! i also feel like Twilight would be on the more intuitive side, looking at the bigger picture in order to solve problems. Twilight also has a big heart and goes with his gut when it comes to making decisions. finally, i do believe he is on the more judgier side, but close to being a perceiver too. he’s a bit spontaneous, but at the end of the day, i feel like he’d think things through before making any rash decisions.
yay! it’s our gremlin boy himself :3 Wind is definitely an extrovert, i think he’s super outgoing and loves being around his family and also the Chain! i don’t know how to explain why i think he’s a perceiving type, it’s just vibes again T-T. he just strikes me as that type— bold and fun-loving and always looking for another creative solution. it was hard to decide whether i think Wind was a thinking or feeling type, but i do feel like he’d be more logical. but just because he’s logical doesn’t mean he’s not spontaneous! this child will set your town on fire (if your town deserves it lol). he will go cliff diving with no hesitation (heh read my fic The Way Back Home).
honestly, i think Warriors is more of an otrovert (like me!) rather than an extrovert! an otrovert is someone who masks their introversion with extroversion, but for the sake of this post, i’ll just say he’s an extrovert. Warriors is about as intuitive as one can get lol. when planning battles or choosing ways to approach combat, he always looks at the bigger picture and considers all aspects and views of what could possibly happen; this quality is also what helped him become a great captain. on that note, i think he’s more logical when approaching both combat and social situations, and i can’t really see him being a feeler. finally, he’s not one to abandon a plan to just spontaneously become spontaneous lol.
finally, the wild child!! did you notice i listed the boys in timeline order? a bit of a note on Wild though, i think the shrine affected his personality. i believe he was much more of an INTJ before the Calamity, but we’re talking about Wild here, not Champion/Age/whatever you call him. i think Wild is certainly an introvert, but is not afraid to act outgoing and a bit… insane at times. i also think he’s a sensing type, keen to little details and changes; Wild notices. he also seems like a feeling type; for example, in LU canon, he chooses to fight Dink after Twilight was injured. this was clearly a decision made with his heart rather than his head. and finally, Wild is wild. therefore, i think he’s a perceiving type, kinda just doing whatever he wants to lol.
okayyyy well i spent way too much time on this! thank you SO MUCH for reading if you got this far, and i’ll see yall later! :D
