Gods. The more we learn about Season 2 the more impressive it is that we even got a second season. Like. What do you mean they had to do rewrites in the middle of filming? What do you mean Jim was supposed to have more of a central part in Season 2 but their plot line was whittled down to basically nothing, due in part to the executives and their determination to absolutely obliterate anything related to polyamory? What do you mean they slashed the budget by 40% despite OFMD being one of the most popular and watched shows on the fucking platform? What do you mean all signs were pointing towards renewal until the last possible second? What do you mean Calypso's Birthday had to be rewritten multiple times? What do you mean a lot of these changes, including the rewrites and re-shoots, had to be done at the last possible minute???

I'm actually kinda glad the cancellation happened. Because now if we do get a Season 3, it absolutely will not be on HBO Max. Zaslav really cancelled the interracial queer romance show so he could pour money into a reboot of the racist TERF wizard books nobody asked for.
