Queen of the Dark Things review.
I liked this book. I definitely liked the first one better but this book still had the same feel as the last book and I really like the way it’s written.
In this book, Colby finds out that his past is getting ready to catch up to him. We learn about more of Colbys childhood, while he is training under a Clever Man named Mandu in Australia. There he meets Kaycee, a young girl who’s destiny is intertwined with his. Although, that might not be a good thing for either of them…
*There is a spoiler in the next paragraph.*
My favorite part...was the ending. I was so very pleased that the characters had a happy ending. Both Kaycee and Colby had such hard lives and I am happy that they get to have some happiness.
My least favorite part...is that Colby is damned. Like it never states that he loses his damnation so I assume it’s still the case. After having such a hard life...I really don’t like to think of how hard his afterlife is going to be.
My favorite character...was Colby. He has a good heart, and he tried to be just. But he wasn’t perfect. His flaws were so human and relatable. But always, he always tried to make the decision that would help others.
My least favorite character...I’m not sure. Like the bad guys were demons. Of course they were bad. They were the reason this entire story took place. But I feel like that’s their nature. Everyone was a piece in this book that played their part.
More books: no more.
I am currently reading Rule of Wolves. Thanks for reading.
